Let's talk football: 2014 Super Bowl Prediction

Contradiction in terms, football is played with a round ball and kicked with, yes that's right your foot. Hence the name football. Throwball is where you put loads of body protection on, throw an egg shaped ball to a team mate and run. Rugby league or union is a bit like your throwball only over here we are man enough not to wear body armour. I notice you also have a world series baseball, much the same as rounders over here. It's played predominantly by women or small children. I'm sensing a theme here.
Um, if that's what you call "football" then why are they playing it with a football?
Here's some pictures for you to make things easier:

I'm sorry, injecting your opinions into my quote won't make your opinions any less true. If you refuse to embrace reality that is your own choice. Just know that your opinions of the truth hold no water here. Carry on with your silly little misconceptions and don't be surprised when you find yourself agreeing to participate in a friendly little game of football and everyone looks confused when you show up calling "foul" because everyone else is throwing and running with the ball.
Oh yeah, and that would be two of us who have seen your post for what it is: a joke. If I thought it were serious I would have ignored you completely. Lighten up bloke.
If your 1st paragraph is to be believed the the 2nd holds no water and likewise the other way.
Okay, it won't make them any more true.0 -
I know it's early but I'm already anticipating football season. So, let's go out on a limb and make a prediction for this upcoming year.
NFC Championship game: 49ers vs. Seahawks
AFC Championship game: Broncos vs. Colts (maybe Patriots)
Super Bowl: 49ers vs. Broncos
Champions: Defense wins championships...49ers!
That was difficult for me since I'm no Niners fan, that' s for sure. I'm a TEXANS fan (I say that quietly these days, too)

 Oh I am somewhat unimpressed:laugh:
You'll be needing your phone card back to call someone who cares.
I mean come on, is that meant to impress me????? Now if you were to say that you had served in the first gulf war (like me) served in Bosnia and Crotia (like me) done 8 tours of Northern Ireland, guess what (like me) then I may be slightly impressed. But you didn't you tried to ponce about with your " i can ride and exercise bike and eat lettuce and I've done it for 30 years. Whoop di do otter poo. Do me a favour, get back on your exercise bike ride of in to the sunset you hero. I could list my medals and sporting achievement but it would take to long. Well that and the fact I don't need to brag to feel good about myself and look good to others. I AM GOOD. End of chat. :drinker:
And it's great that you've done tours. I applaud you......................................................but that doesn't have anything to do with the topic at hand. Again, how many "real" Rugby players can play in the NFL? Well none as of right now. And even one of the "beasts" in the Rugby world got manhandled at "practice" sessions.
NFL is unique. Can't be played by everyone. They are 2 different games with different skill sets. Rugby players are good at Rugby. NFL players are good a professional American football.
I get that you don't care for them or think they are twinks, but if you're not a fan, your opinion on it doesn't matter as much as you'd like to think.

If you don't watch American Football, why just not ignore the thread?
Believe it or not - different areas of the world, call different things by different names. Shocking...I know.
Mate, there is only one of you that has seen my post for what it is. A joke, lighten up. i actually don't give a toss if you call it American under water knife fighting on grass with a football we only kick 6 times football.
I do watch it, not often because it's to stop start for me, but hey each to there own. And the Chiefs get my vote because I like Indians. Do the chiefs play American football?
