Late to the party, but seriously OP, why do you care what other people do?
You should probably just focus on your own goals.0 -
I didn't feel like reading through this entire thread so this may be a repeat; but I think people use the GW as milestones as opposed to a FINAL GW... I like setting mine for shorter term goals so when I hit them I feel some form of success to keep me motivated and at that time I readjust my GW and work for that... not going to attack you for your opinion, like a lot of people in these threads do, but just going to say it is more the fact that you don't know what is in the head of the individual setting a "high" goal weight, so simply an uninformed opinion.0

I took a moment to see what my ideal body weight is supposed to be and was shocked. I have a goal of 195 by August, still higher than a want. What I have found is that I am supposed to be between 128 and 161!! Are you F'in kidding me! I would be a cracked out twig. The best I have ever felt/looked in my life I was 185 lbs. I may try for 175 but thats it!! ( I was lifting heavy and young at 185 with 10% body fat and 5'9")0

Just wanted to share for what it's worth...I am 5' 6.5" and this was me around 180lb. I thought that weight looked pretty good on me! I was very healthy and active a this time, and I felt great about myself. For me 175 would be a very acceptable goal weight, and I hope to get there again once this baby is born.
To each their own! More power to ANYONE who is looking to improve their health, no matter what their personal goal weight might be!0
