I would be lucky to go once maybe twice a week when i began this WOE. Started taking two teaspoons of Natural Calm Natural Vitality (Magnesium Citrate) twice per day in a cup of boiling water. Whoo- no more concerns now and it also helps with my calcium intake ratio.

There is a tea called Smooth Move. Drink a cup at night before you go to bed. Wake up and drink a cup of coffee and you should be good to go :) There is also a tea called Lacy Labeau (sp?) that I used a lot back in the day. It worked well also.

Miralax. Unless you want to eat more fruits, but if you are worried about carbs, then just take the Miralax. (Start with 17mg).

Have you tried changing your toilet posture? Putting a footstool under my feet and being in a squatting position has helped me when I have a hard time getting things moving.

I'm Hashi, too. Healthy fats and more water. Throw a couple tablespoons of ground flaxseed into a smoothie or your yogurt. Lessen the cheese or milk, it can constipate you. I have gone to fewer carbs by cutting out a lot of wheat items and still eat quinoa, rice, barley, oatmeal and lentils. Also, I actually like prunes and five or six of those help move things along. Also, a good strong cup of coffee.

If it's getting painful, you may need to use a suppository or an enema to flush it out quickly.

I'm not sure what it does to your carb count (I don't count) but half cup of fiber one cereal with 16 oz of water before bed always works for me.

This is great stuff. Disappears completely, with zero taste. Non habit forming as well. Good luck.

A Quest bar, or a laxative. Maybe try eating a higher fiber cereal in the morning, as a preventative afterwards.

Apples and apple juice both have natural laxative effects in high doses, and you already eat apples. Will your carb allowance let you eat multiple apples per day, or add a glass or two of apple juice a few times per week?

f you are eating the right foods, you shouldn't have problems going.
My favorite poop producers, however, are aloe vera shots (which, I use herbalife, so it's hard to say what is comparable) and an apple. Try to get in enough fruits and veggies. You could try coffee which can have laxative effects for some people.

BUT, my favorite thing to do when I can't go is to lay on my back and bring my knees to my belly. I alternate my legs, and sometimes bring both to belly at once. A friend says that they use that on babies that have gas, but I think I learned that when I did yoga it somehow massages your insides.

Hold your nose and drink the Metamucil...you'll get used to it. Or take psyllium in pill form. A big cup of coffee in the morning works for me. Add more raw fruit and veggies into your diet. An apple a day, etc.
