Being thin doesn't necessarily mean clothes always look good on you. I'm tall and everything on my body is too long for standard sizes - long arms, legs, torso. I have broad shoulders but a thin waist. I hate shopping because it's frustrating and disappointing. Plenty of women struggle with finding clothes that fit their body types; the trick is to spend some time finding pieces that fit well and flatter. It has nothing to do with being thin.

Yes that's true. I guess I just mean someone who isn't very curvy and is slender. They get away with almost all casual clothes.

I hate clothes, but appreciate shoes that keep me from stubbing my toe.

Nevertheless, I can't totally escape so I wear kilts as needed.

From what I can tell, I think a high waisted pencil skirt with a midriff top would flatter you nicely. It'll elongate you -- making you appear thinner -- and draw attention to your smallest area (your waist).

edit: if you're going for a work look, just pair a tailored blazer with the ensemble. Now you have a work look that can quickly change to a girls night out look. You're welcome.

Thanks for the tips. I am already quite fond of a good old high waisted skirt :). I think casual dress is the real killer haha.

Clothing is optional...unless you're a guy with a gut who's trying to operate a grinder or chop saw.

My employer requires me to wear pants in the office. I wish I was working from home.

You are over thinking. Wear the fitted tops if they flatter you. Don't worry about people thinking you are trying to show off your chest. You have boobs. You aren't supposed to hide them. A good fitted V-neck tee is awesome (Costco has awesome ones right now, great fit, thick material for $10).

And so what if skinnier girls look good in jeans. This doesn't make you look any less good in them. Jeans are for every one.

Thanks :). I know I should ignore negative people but I've had women look disgusted at me because I was wearing yoga pants. I realize it's probably because I am not thin and it looks sexual. But to be honest, that's not my fault. I like doing yoga and I'm not going to do it in a bin bag to satisfy the women in a cafe eating a cake.

I love clothes, I just can't afford all the ones that look best on me most of the time so I settle for a tshirt and jeans

Dude. Seriously, put your ding-a-ling away. You should be so excited about advertising your SHORTcomings.
