For breakfast McDonald egg white delight without the muffin (two if your really hungry) and the fruit parfait is great. I had the IHOP Fit 2x2 this morning and it was good. Wendy's is hard to beat for lunch. My favorite is a half size apple pecan chicken salad with a small chili. The strawberry fields salad is good also but not as good as the strawberry poppyseed chicken salad at Panera Bread. TGIF has a steak with miso sauce served on spinach with a side of tomatoes and mozzarella and dressing that is less than 600 calories and is exceptional. Zaxby has the blackened bleu chicken salad that is also very good. Chik fil a has grilled chicken nuggets that are very good. For Mexican I always order the steak or chicken fajitas and avoid the shells.0

norm's breakfast tacos - delish, high protein, and without fruit about 400 calories.
i like to get a medium baked potato a lot of places, add an ounce of sour cream, lots of pepper and chow down. or an ounce of sizzler guacamole is yummy with anything, and you can add it to a tablespoon of blue cheese dressing and use it as a salad dressing.0 -
My local Chinese restaurant makes a selection of their stir fries with little to no sauce. A large Moo Goo Gai Pan, no rice, no egg roll is around 660 cals but it makes 2 meals for me.0

I love Chick Fil A's grilled chicken. Sandwich or nuggets, with a side salad or a fruit cup, makes a great meal. Also Jimmy Johns BLT with avocado spread instead of mayo. Ruby Tuesday salad bar. I love Subway's egg white and bacon breakfast sandwiches with pepper jack cheese and loaded up on veggies. Noodles and Company has a lot of low-calorie options; I really like the whole grain tuscan linguine with grilled chicken and a side salad.
Haven't tried them yet - maybe tomorrow for lunch - but Panera has new flatbread sandwiches that are around 350 calories each and all look super tasty, plus you can get an apple on the side.0 -
Flame Broiler's mini bowl is right under 400 calories. So good, lots of protein.0

Throw a small Wendy's chili on top of a side green salad w/o dressing (add a packet of hot sauce tho - not too high in calories but makes a difference to flavour) VOILA! lo cal mock taco salad.
Good idea!! I am going to have to try this.0 -
Yes! I think I will try the scooping out as well. I will always choose the Canada version if it is listed, or look online to double check. I find in *most* cases the cals aren't as bad as those listed in the states0

I order kids meals most of the time. With only having 1200 calories a day, I have to keep meals at a total of 300-400 calories. I choose water, grilled chicken and salads, skipping dressing most of the time.
I like the McDonald egg white delight and parfait, but I only choose one not both.
I am only allotted a 1200 calorie diet with choosing to lose 2 lbs per week, 1.5 lbs and 1 lbs. so changing that setting does not change my calories much.0 -
Nando's! Say no more lol.0

I go to McDonalds and get a plain chicken sandwich (no cheese or bacon either) and a side salad with the Italian dressing. I cut the chicken breast up and put it on the salad then use just a tablespoon of the dressing. It is delicious and low carb/sugar and low calorie!0

Chick fil a. Grilled chicken nuggets or regular chicken nuggets are delicious and lower in calories. I normally don't get a side but they have fruit cups and side salads.0

Does no one look at the sodium content in the fast food. Chic Fil A is like 1200 mg per small regular chicken sandwich. If you are trying to loose weight you really don't want to retain water, do you? Most of us fat people have high blood pressure anyway, so watch your sodium in addition to your calories.0

I cut out fast food in early 2009, simply because I just didn't want to eat it anymore. Now I couldn't even if I wanted to, because after thyroid disease and having to have Radioactive Iodine to shrink nodules and my thyroid, I developed major problems with gluten. I can eat anything with gluten or I suffer horribly. I live in a small town, so options are limited. If we decide on Chinese, I get steamed vegetables and chicken, it's the only thing I trust. If we go out to eat, we go to a place called Hoss's Steak and Sea House. It's kind of like Bonanza-style, but they offer a very large variety of gluten-free foods. I usually get broiled scallops (hubby is not a seafood lover, so I rarely make any at home), a baked potato and of course the soup and salad bar. I do splurge on a little frozen custard for dessert. We recently tried a new place, which turned out to be very good. The waitress even told the chef to make sure nothing gluten goes near my plate. The food was great (I had chicken marsala) and the portions were quite hearty for a reasonable price. I also found a pizzeria in the next town that has gluten-free pizza crust, so when I want to indulge my cravings for a good pizzeria pizza, I go there. Other than that, I find it easier to just cook at home.0

I live in a smallish Canadian town and the choices are a bit more limited but I love Pita Pit. It's amazing how much food you can eat for under 500 calories. And the nutrition pamphlet you can pick up in store is very detailed so you can get a pretty accurate calorie count.0

Willy's- steak burrito, no beans, no rice, no cheese--knocks out most of your calories there. Load up on veggies; lettuce, salsa, red peppers, sauteed peppers and onions. Add some guacamole if you want some good fats, watch out for the corn salsa (for you paleo lovers and calorie avoiders). You can get out of there for less than 600 calories.0

Any one of the numerous burrito places like Chipotle, Moe's, Qdoba, etc.
Get the bowl (no tortilla) with fajita veggies, meat, salsa, guac. Healthy, delicious, easily available.
Alternatively for a sit-down Meixcan place, get the Fajitas and side of veggies, eat with a knife and fork.0 -
Bakers Bros Taos salad! mmm (or any of their salads) A large is GIGANTIC and under 500 calories0
