    Hello everyone,

Thanks for all the concern about the new kitty. Things are going OK with him fitting in. I don't understand people either and I don't understand the school for treating it more seriously.

I've upped my daily time on the bike to 45 minutes. It seems to take forever to get that last 15 minutes over with. I'm doing OK with my calories. Thank goodness for the exercise calories.

Tomorrow I am going to do 1 hour on the bike to help cover the Turkey dinner and I got batteries for the Wii Balance board so I can start doing yoga for stretching again.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the USA.

:flowerforyou: JAM, I can't ride the exercise bike for more than 20-25 minutes at a time so I ride in two or three segments

Happy Thanksgiving my MFP pals. Today has been a great day. It began with me completing the Fat Blaster dvd from the Turbo Jam series and then eating a nice hardy bowl of oatmeal with a banana. I then got dressed and headed to the volunteer program. I was assigned to the clothing center which is set up like a little department store and I was responsible for escorting clients in and helping them select items of clothing. I also assisted with folding and hanging up clothes. Everyone was in great spirits and I am so glad I decided to spend my Thanksgiving day giving back. It was very rewarding.

Babygurl: MFP is a great place to come for support. Everyone is super duper helpful and supportive. You've done a great job thus far so just know you are more than capable of taking off the last 18 lbs.

Choco- Ditto on Barbies comments. What a great way to spend Thanksgiving!

We are cooking our turkey today after spending yesterday with long time friends. We are keeping it simple today.

    Have a great day all,

Good evening! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday and are still enjoying the fun and laughter with loved ones. Today I completed the Cardio-week 5 dvd from the Kettleworx series.

Thank for the support Barbie and Jam. It was a great way to spend my holiday and I'm trying to sign up for Christmas too.

:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: dancing in the hallway this morning....I think I've finally mastered a dance that has been a huge challenge......I still haven't mastered dancing with dogs    The snow melted enough that I was able to work in the garden for awhile and go to the dog park

:flowerforyou: it was easy to stay within my calories on Thanksgiving because we didn't eat a traditional meal with friends or family.....we had fun food but ate light and had time for exercise.....tomorrow we go to a big catered dinner about 60 miles away so the day will be a bigger challenge.....we're going to the big shopping mall on the way so there will be some walking

OK everyone - The holiday weekend is over. We could wait until Monday to declare it over, but I think it is better for me anyway, to declare it over today. lol

Happy Saturday and good luck to all of us for getting back on track if we wandered a little this week.

Good morning all! I hope this post finds my MFP friends in good health and spirits. My previous boot camp instructor is offering a free, Saturday, boot camp session until the end of the year so I decided to partake in it today.

Today's circuit consisted of twisting mountain climbers, squat & overhead press, burpees w/a jump, pulsating squats while holding 20 lb weight, jumping rope, push ups, jumping squats w/a step, pulsating lunges, high knees, inchworms, jumping jacks and bicycles. We did each circuit until the trainer blew the whistle and then we moved on to the next. I believe each circuit was a minute. We did this twice and then we competed in team relays that consisted of walking side squats, jumping jacks, skiers and high knees.

I had a great time and it made me realize how much I like and miss the group boot camps. I'm really considering joining for at least a month in order to jump start my workouts again

Barbie: Great job mastering your dance and have fun at your catered event. Since you remained within your calories on Thanksgiving i'm sure it wont hurt you too much if you decide to indulge a little.

Jam: It's very easy for me to declare the holiday over because I don't cook so there was no Thanksgiving meal at my house. My friend did bring me a plate but because she knows of my healthy lifestyle she did not pile on the food. It was literally two tablespoons of food. It was enough for me to feel like it was Thanksgiving. Now my problem continues to be my desire to snack.

:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: it will be easier for me to be prudent about my eating than it will to be prudent at the big mall we're stopping at on the way to the dinner......I'm looking for a sweatshirt but there will be so many things and since we're on a "spending diet" I will have to resist all the temptation

Happy Saturday to all  :drinker:

:flowerforyou: Yesterday we were out all day, first at the shopping mall 60 miles away----too much sitting in the car but a lot of walking at the mall
we were very smart about our shopping and got only what we planned except that I got two shirts instead of one because they were less than half price
we had Subway Veggie Delight for lunch (good on calories and nutrition and terrible on sodium)---the catered meal event lasted much longer than I expected so that meant a lot more sitting----I ate more than I planned but did not put butter on the yummy black bread and ate my potato without butter, cheese, or sour cream and had a banana and grapes for dessert instead of cake
when I got home I rode the exercise bike long enough to exactly match my calories.

:flowerforyou: today we are doing an Isagenix cleanse day which will be a good start to balancing things out and getting me back on track.....DH is really wanting to get back on track so he has said no eating out this month

Barbie- I miss black bread. That is something you can't get around here. I bet it tasted wonderful without butter.

Choco- That is really cool that you can go to the boot camp on Saturdays. I think combining home exercise with group exercise is the way to go to keep it from getting too boring.

Blackmamba- Your weight gain is hopefully just water weight. So drink, drink and drink!

I did 30 minutes of the Wii step today followed by 30 minutes on the bike. I took a couple of breaks to keep the laundry going. Speaking of drinking I think it is tea time where I am. I got some blueberry tea which can be hard to find. It is just wonderful.

Today was a very busy day so I was only able to get in a quick workout. I completed one mile of the Fat Burning Walk dvd by Leslie Sansone.

Jam: I do really miss the group part of the exercise so being able to get a little bit of it (especially when it's free) is good.

Well I'm glad Thanksgiving is over!!! I ate off a small plate and served myself with a teaspoon and I did really well! Stayed within my calories for the day even with eating at two places and having dessert at both places! The true test was my little mini vacation to North Carolina for the weekend! I knew I would be eating out everyday and the rinky dink place we were staying at had no gym..the whole resaon for going was to party down lots of hanging out, race cars and lots of drinking! I did really well I stayed within my calories and only drank 2 glasses of wine!! Self control won over and I am so grateful for that! I didn't get to workout so I will have to kick it up this week but at least I didn't fall off the wagon with the food. I ate the things that I love but made sure the portions were much smaller!!! I rewarded my self with a little shopping while in NC! Much more fun than drinking until you pass out if I must say so myself!!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Good afternoon and happy Monday all! Just a quick post, Today I completed the Push Circuit 1 dvd of the Chalean Extreme program. I also incorporated jump roping into the routine in order to get the heart rate up.

Babygurl-That is awesome news! Every holiday and every gathering will get easier and easier not to over eat or over indulge.

Before I started with MFP I was eating over 2200 calories a day. Now a bad day for me is 1400-1500 calories and I am stuffed and feel bloated from over eating. While the 1200 calorie a day limit is still difficult for me, I don't think I could eat like I use to.

I started back on the Wii Fit Plus and my legs ache from the free step. I was surprised as I do at least 30 minutes a day on the stationary bike. But, I guess it's not the same muscle group. The aching is a reminder to mix up my exercise routine more to use more muscle group.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Jeannie
