Link? I've never heard anything positive about transfats of any kind. Wait are you talking about CLAs and the like? Sure. Not bad. Not something I really think of as a transfat, but suppose it is. Fine. MANUFACTURED transfats are bad.

Yeah I reworded in a subsequent post, and yes I meant things like CLA, VA
Perfect. Then we don't disagree. Naturally occurring, transient transfats, probably aren't bad. Thanks for clarifying. I just get irked when folks blithely say there are no bad foods. There are.

    Olives?

    They'll probably kill you.

I may be exaggerating. You should be ok but keep a close eyes on your calories and how quickly they rack up.

You need to plan your food choices before you eat them. If you eat first, calculate later, you'll run into exactly this sort of problem. Had you calculated the macros for olives before you ate them, you would have avoided this problem. Also, olives aren't bad for you. They're only bad if they put you over your macros for the day.

I love black olives. The trick is to have that little bit of self control to measure out what I want, log on MFP, and put the rest away before I start eating. Which is trickier if you feel like you're starving by the time you get to doing it.

Olives are bad and they can kill you when you stick enough up your nose and jam up your windpipe.

    Otherwise olives are good.

Olives like avocados have good "fat"

fat is a word unfortunately linked to bad, not always the case

Love my olives, they are a good way to get my fat macro and to hit my salty/flavour craving. I just ate a few chili garlic stuffed green olives, delicious!

Chilli, garlic, olives - they've got to be three words that were meant to go together.

Where does one find such delicious olives?
Specialty stores, maybe the olive/pickle area at the store...or make some. I only say that because we had a potluck at work last night and someone brought garlic olives that were heavenly! When I inquired about where she got them, she stated she just mixed some black and green olives together, added several few cloves of chopped garlic (and some olive juice from the cans) and let 'em hang out for a couple hours. Quick, super delicious, and impressive! I imagine you could add chilies or whatever else you desire. Nom.
