I'll reiterate what most people have said. You can't spot reduce so just stick with your calorie deficit and lift heavy weight!!! Compound moves!!!0

If you want to cut sugar out by all means do it, but many of us with flat stomachs or six packs eat sugar (ice cream, cake, cookies, etc.).0 -
But did you eat it daily while trying to lose weight? I don't have an agenda here in trying to prove some point, I honestly just want to know why there is all these studies out there about sugar making you fat if it doesn't? My wholistic doctor even talked about hidden sugars in every food attributing to weight gain. Don't want to sabotage my weightloss!0

Yup. Every day.
I keep my carbs in check by making sure I have enough protein and fat, and that's it.

Those aren't studies you quoted but websites that want to make money.
Lots of people here have lost while eating ice cream daily. In fact that was a thread about a 30 day ice cream cleanse, everyone ate ice cream daily but still lost weight as they met their goals.0 -

I did eat it daily. A bowl of ice cream before bed if I didn't have cake or pie in the afternoon. There are tons of us on here who have done that. I had sugar every day leading up to both my bodybuilding competitions. If you are honestly eating under your TDEE (the amount of calories you maintain at) you will lose fat even if you eat sugar. The problem most people run into is that at a moderate deficit a small bowl of ice cream may not keep them satisfied and they will eat more.0
