    Pre-Workout (Breakfast)
    Post Workout
    Lunch
    Afternoon Snack
    Dinner
    Evening Snack

I wish that there was room for one more category for those darn late night snacks that are impossible to say no to. :)

    I have
    12:01a-6a
    6:01a-noon
    12:01p-6p
    6:01p-midight

I like the idea of a snacks category though, so you can see how much you eat when it isn't part of a meal. Those calories can add up!

    Breakfast
    Lunch
    Dinner
    Snacks
    Drinks
    Treats

The drinks and treats categories really only get used the weekends we get together with friends, because we usually eat/drink the same type things each time and it makes things easier to find.

    For now, something like:

    Breakfast
    Lunch
    Early afternoon
    Late afternoon
    Evening
    Vitamins

    I have
    Meal 1
    Meal 2
    Meal 3
    Meal 4
    Meal 5
    Meal 6

I log snacks as meals. I log meals as meals. It helps me see what I ate when and how it affected me later on in the day in the remaining "meals."

    Relatively the same:

    Meal #1 (breakfast)
    Meal #2 (snack)
    Meal #3 (lunch)
    Meal #4 (snack)
    Meal #5 (dinner)
    Meal #6 (snack)

    I have mine listed in chronological order;
    Breakfast
    Morning Snack (8am-11am)
    Lunch
    Afternoon snack (1pm-5pm)
    Dinner
    Evening Snack (6pm-9pm)

The disadvantage of this is that I have been known to have "brunch" on the weekends so I enter it under Morning Snack (8am-11am) with nothing entered for breakfast or lunch. Yeah, I guess I really am just that AR.

I have one category labeled 'All Day Meals'. I don't like breaking things up, I guess I'm lazy.

I just keep the default settings because if you change it on here (the website) it doesn't reflect the change/addition of new categories on the mobile app. So if you add a category, it doesn't appear on the app (or at least from the last time I did that about a year ago, things may have changed since then). Essentially I just have a Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Anything in between goes into 'Snack'.

Yep it has changed! Go forth and modify your meal names to your heart's content!

    Breakfast
    Lunch
    Dinner
    Snacks
    Alcohol
Other - for example any vitamins, tablets, medications

i dont log water or cardio/exercise on MFP i log it on my fitbit app (they sync), i find this better - i put notes under food and exercise though.

Doesn't matter where you log your food, just as long as you're hitting your daily macros, you're good to go.

Surprised so few people have a drinks/bevs/liquids section, that was all I added... I like to keep my coffee, booze and shakes separate.

    I have
    Wakeup to 9am
    9am to 12pm
    12pm to 3pm
    3pm to 6pm
    6pm to bedtime
    Vitamins/Medicines

I only drink water and tea - tea is logged as I drink it (with splenda/sugar). Snacks are logged whenever they happen.

During the week, it generally ends up working out to be
    breakfast
    fruit/veggie snack
    lunch
    fruit/veggie snack
dinner & after dinner snacks (i.e. fruit or other dessert)
    (vitamins/medicines)

On weekends, breakfast typically gets entered in the 9am to 12pm category and I "snack" for lunch anywhere from 11am to 2pm and just enter it accordingly :shrugs:

I originally had breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, etc but that isn't how I always eat. I now just have meals 1-6 and I don't care if it was really a snack or meal. I'm just OCD enough that I want it all in chronological order

    Maybe I should try that...

I think with my new exercise routine and to make my metabolism higher I should switch mine up but here's my current:

    Breakfast-- Awake To 12pm
    Lunch-- 12pm To 2pm
    Snack (1)-- 2pm To 5pm
    Dinner-- 5pm To 8pm
    Snack (2)-- 8pm To Sleep

    #4
    #5
    Beverages

I usually only eat something 4 times a day but keep #5 for those days I eat more. I also like to keep the beverages separate.

I have Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, and Late Night because I typically have 2 dinners... One for myself around 5, one with my husband around 9:30.
But I've been thinking about remodeling my system after the Hobbit way:

    :Breakfast
    Second Breakfast
    Elevensies
    Luncheon
    Afternoon Tea
    Dinner
    Supper

Because I usually break my meals into lots of mini-meals throughout the day anyways.

I have 5 sections just done by time so I have

    Before 10am
    10-12:30pm
    12:30-3pm
    3-6pm
    6-9pm
    After 9pm

Keeps it easy to decide where to put things :-)
