Mine is a pal and he walks with me some but he's dumb as BRICKS so he mainly trips me till I give up and put him back in the house.

i'd trip over that ball, too

Well - we wouldn't want him to get away now would we? Feisty little terd he is.

But my first fitness pal is now gone. Andy, our first dog, we adopted when we still lived in an apartment, so he needed to be walked every day, several times a day, no matter the weather. When we first got him, I could barely keep up with him, but all that walking laid the foundation for what I'm doing now.

Here's my VERY sweet little girl, Bella!! I guess she's not that little but that's what we call her! Bella is a Rottweiler German Shephard mix (we think). She has lots of energy. She helps me in my fitness goals because I feel bad if I don't give her a walk.

  • Here's mine. Her name is Godiva. She's a chocolate lab/jack russell mix. She's got all the energy of the jack russell. She wants you to kick that ball... so she can bring it back... so you can kick it....

    I LOVE him!!

My doggie is lazy and doesn't like to go outside in "weather". My true fitness pal is guy (shown in my pic). He is the sweetest and loved me at size 2 when I met him and loved me at a size 12. He has lost about 30 lbs and looks HOT! Very proud of him.

I laughed when I read your post!! I too have three and sometimes four furry kids when I run or walk out here in the country! I first started with a Beagle/border collie, then my in-laws white with black mixture of border collie/ dalmation? moved in, THEN this early summer the neighbors springer spaniel decided he liked our farm better so he adopted us and then my 3 yr old grandson comes to the farm for a few days per week (his momma is a 13 hour shift nurse) and when he come he brings his 7 month old schnauzer !!!! We probably give a good laugh to those who come down our country rodes and see me four to five miles from home pushing a baby jogger with child AND the schnauzer in it and the other three just running along!!! I absolutely hate running without my pooches and living so far in the country they are lucky that they do not have to be leashed!!!
Happy Healthy trails to you BOTH!!!

ROFL! I take my daughter (7 yrs old) and our three dogs on runs and it gets quite interesting.

Well mostly they just watch as I try to do pilates in my room, then come over and try and lay on my mat while I'm doing a plank...I take this to mean I should do it longer so as not to squish them...
