I wouldn't mind having a buddy to lift with but would prefer doing my cardio alone.

I prefer to work out alone, I zone out, I do enjoy group sessions like sparring and so on but when it comes to running and lifting weights, its me time, I find it therapeutic

Alone. I've tried so many times to workout with a buddy, but they always slow me down, or bug me to quit way sooner than I would like. I don't mind actually GOING to the gym with someone, but while I'm there I like to do my own thing.

    That's my thoughts too!

I normally workout alone, with my headphones in and my music on full blast. I have done this successfully for over 5 years.

However, I am studying for my personal trainer certification so I am "practicing" on my sister who is trying to get in better shape before her wedding, so I started training her yesterday. Interestingly enough, I pushed myself harder than I normally do. So maybe I am better off with a partner.

Gym time is Me time so I prefer solo. If I'm outside walking I do like to have a friend to chat with otherwise I just crank up the tunes in my earbuds and go.

I prefer solo too. As you might guess from my user name, I get into a zone when exercising, whether it's weights or cardio or a hike. It's as good for my mental health as my physical health. I don't mind hiking or cycling with others occasionally but most of the time I want it to be alone time. Just me and my personal goals for that workout.
  • I prefer to lift on my own. I prefer to cycle with others (but that hardly ever happens...I'm usually on my own).

Definitely cycling with others is understandable. I'm wanting to get into that and would want to be one-on-one or a tiny group.
