Disgusting foods sold at the store, go!

From what I've been reading lately, almost everything sold in stores is foul. At least the drunk bikers will have truth in advertising going on. The rest of us have no idea how nasty and bug filled the food we eat is.
But I reserve a special place on my ick list for any hot dog that is bright red, Spam, cheese from a can, and Juicy Juice.
I don't find bug filled food nasty.
I find most food delicious.
Tofu = now that is nasty
You can have my share of the Oreos, then!
I see no problem here.
Won't be the first or last spider any of us eat.
Agreed. I would like all of my spiders Oreo coated, please!
You guys do realize this photo was faked, right? They admitted to opening the Oreo and squishing a spider into it.
Not to say that random bug bits don't make it into our food sometimes (I once found a ladybug shell in my yogurt, years ago ... who knows what happened to the rest of the thing?) But it's not like they're disease laden. Just some extra protein.
My yucky vote - anything pickled, but especially pickled artichoke hearts. That is a nasty surprise when you're expecting the regular ones!
Fake ( I assumed) or not... I'd eat it!0 -
Okra! and crab!0

I'm going to lose friends but...
I'll keep you as my friend.....that way i know you won't steal my Nutella!0 -
I've looked through here and only gotten hungrier.
Y'all have some weak stomachs... :flowerforyou:
Sure, there are a few things I wouldn't eat, but headcheese isn't bad, scrapple is OK (liver pudding is better), etc etc.0 -
Sheep's head anyone?

I was going to say kombucha, but I literally gagged when I saw these posts. Congrats, you win.0

ugh.
I would eat pancakes and sausage on a stick all day errday. So good.
The biscuits aren't bad either.
Dammit. Now I have to go to the store tonight and it's all your fault.0 -
Those are a delicacy in the Phillippines!0 -
I am a vegan, so I wouldn't consume most of these anyway, but:
Feta cheese (never tried it, it reeks)
Milk (straight, with no flavoring added-- I couldn't even swallow straight milk it was so nasty, ESPECIALLY Marva Maid)
Unsalted butter/unsalted margarine
Yogurt. No matter if it has fruit and sugar added, it still tastes like something that's spoiled
Buttermilk-- never tried it, obviously gross
Parmesan cheese in a can that people sprinkle on pasta to ruin the pasta
Sea"food" OTHER THAN fish sticks, McDonalds fish sandwiches, and canned tuna/canned salmon
Beer-- stinks
Garlic bread
Most savory spices
Hot peppers
Short of shaker cheese, this poster pretty much listed my shopping list.
Cuitlacoche! http://www.thesneeze.com/steve-dont-eat-it/0 -
My husband actually will eat this on crackers. It looks and smells like cat food.

Where is "Scrapple" sold?
I've lived a few places and have relatives from the NE, MW, and SW areas.
Never even heard of it.
tripe
pigs feet
tongue (I've heard it's delicious but just. can't.)
pate'0 -
I had scrapple in a diner the first time (somewhere in/near Philadelphia in my teen years) and thought it was pretty darn good, especailly with eggs. Mmmm. Tried it from a store years later - not as good but ok.
I'll eat just about anything but there are a few things I really don't care for:
brussel sprouts - fresh, canned, frozen, boiled, sauteed, fried, roasted, doesn't matter - all stinky and gross
slim jims - which is kinda weird because I love sausage - must be a spice/flavoring they use?
miso soup
moose meat - I'll eat it but that purpley color when it's raw? :shudder:0 -
Canned asparagus and those Vienna Sausage things. Grosssssss..0
-
garbanzo beans
Brussels sprouts0 -
double decker pizza.0

Oh, I LOVE those. I haven't had a can in a long time. They sell them right next to my other favorite--vienna sausages, lol!

Yep, it's very real. They are sold all over the place here in the Deep South. I've never felt the urge to try them, but some people say they are quite tasty.
Oh, and since brains are primarily made of fat, it's unsurprising that they are so high in cholesterol!0 -
Welp, I'm never eating again0
