SO you can't really tell in this photo but I have lots of scars on my legs ranging from stretch marks, to clumsy scars, to stupid scars. I wouldn't wear shorts for the longest time but I don't care anymore. lol. Maybe it's a part of growing up but I care not if people find my legs sexy. My knees and ankles are weird and don't match (due to the amount of times that I have fallen/sprained/twisted my legs/knees).

Sidenote: I hope you get to feeling better! That sounds like a terrifying ordeal to be hospitalized for staph.

    Mirin your ice cream.

Oh, and nice legs, too.

Too hard to tell if you're on the level. I think the problem is that there is too much clothing covering your legs. If you would strip from the waist down, and post another picture.......

OP, I had the same thing! I thought it was an ingrown hair on my thigh but it grew into a golf ball sized abscess with cellulitus that was 16 inches in diameter. I went to the ER and the doctor stabbed the area with crap loads of local anesthetic and then lanced the abscess. Blood went everywhere! He then sent me home with some meds... labs came back the next day confirming it was MRSA.

However, as expected the antibiotics didn't work and I ended up in hospital on Clindamycin, followed by Vancomycin for three days/ two nights. While in hospital they did more tests and found out I am pre-diabetic, which is what started my weight loss journey...

The first month I had to change the dressing three times a day and wash with a special medicated body wash (so did my husband)... the fist time I changed the dressing I nearly fainted. It was so sore, bloody and gross :grumble: The first six weeks I was seeing a surgeon 1-3 times a week, getting CT scans etc... It took me a long time to recover and I nearly got re-admitted to hospital at one point (high fever and wound not healing/diabetics wound concern).

Anyway... three months later my wound is healed over and is about the size of a quarter. It's still red and has tons of hard scar tissue.

Seems really important that they draw a circle around it in case they lost it OP.

Made the mistake of leaving about 1/4'' of skin exposed between my hikers and my pants during a backpacking trip in the Canadian Rockies.

Bugs were probably pretty happy, I was less so.

No, my ankles are usually not the same size as my feet....that was due to the swelling.

They drew the circle at the first Dr's appointment to mark the outer edge of the swelling. Sent me home with oral antibiotics, with instructions to come back in 7 days, or sooner if the swelling went past the circle.

Does it itch like crazy from time to time? This was 5 years ago for me, and even though it has healed to look like a silver dollar sized road rash (that's my arms thanks to a motor bike wreck), it will drive me crazy with itching from time to time. I'm always afraid to scratch in fear that the infection came back.

Looking at my feed......it was called, Thigh gap "fun fact". Something about if you had thigh gap, it was like throwing a hot dog down a hallway. Pictures and everything. It was dealt with in true MFP fashion (lots of laughing) before the mods got it.
