Can You See Yourself As You Are?

A common theme I've noticed on MFP, particularly among women and especially among those who've lost weight, is an inability to view themselves as they really are. This includes myself. They see 'big thighs' or 'fat butt' or 'scrawny legs'. I'm not about to delve into the inner workings of the human mind and self perception (Just not enough hours in the day.) so instead I'm gonna conduct a little experiment/poll.

This is compilation of 21 different women. The 'game' is simple. Post a picture of yourself. Tell us which body you think you are closest to now and which one you'd like to be. That's it.
Rules
1 "None of these women look exactly like me!": Oh yeah? No kidding? Women who aren't you don't look like you? :indifferent:
2. "But I have blah and the woman closet to me has mehherpyay" K. Is she still the one closest to you? Then what the problem is? Wrinkles and dimples and cellulite or a slightly larger bust doesn't invalidate the entire choice. Did I mentioned these aren't pictures of you? And so none of them will look exactly like YOU? I did? Okay then.
3. "I don't like the labels." Ignore them and/or don't play. They're for ease of use not to hinge your entire self worth upon, nor the worth of the women featured.
4. "I'm a man." Bro. Do you even lift?
5. "I saw posterXYZ picked body KGISFUJ and I disagree. Can I say something?" Sure. In fact I'm counting of people being able to add the objective opinions that we lack about ourselves. If you aren't comfortable commenting on others don't do it. Don't feel like you have to comment on everyone. If no one comments on you don't get butthurt, just assume your sense of self is on point and keep it rolling. Don't get mad if someone disagrees with what you think you look like. Don't be an *kitten* on either side.
6. "I saw poster XYZ picked body HJGG as they're goal and I disagree. Can I say something?" No one curr if you don't like body whatever and like bodytype derpyface, so don't go being all 'that's gross/why would you want to/bones are for dogs/that lady is fat/shameshameshame' Take your body issues and inability to let other's live their lives elsewhere, mmkay?
Did I miss anything?

Oh, of course, I missed going first.
I think I look most like 14 or 15.
I'd like to be 5 or 8.0 -
Bumping so I can see pictures later...0

Do I have to post pics? Hahaha! I look most like 2 and would like to look more like 7.
OK, edit to add a photo from my profile: it is actually a MFP fitspiration that I did with a photo.
Me:0 -
I dunno. 8 or 14?
I'd like to look like 5 or 7.0 -
i'll play.
i look most like 11/15. i'm striving to look (and feel) more like 5/7.0 -

*snip in case of further quotage*
I would, imho, place you closer to 5 at this point. You certainly have muscle tone that 2 doesn't, but not as much as 7.I dunno. 8 or 14?
I disagree very strongly with 14.0 -

You have the shape of 15, but not the bodyfat. Are you posed? I think I'd put you closer to a 12.0 -

Can't believe I'm posting this. I just started lifting and following the IIFYM philosophy. I'm 5'3" and 153lbs. Gah! These photos are so embarrassing.
I'd say I'm probably 17, 18 or 19.
I'm really hoping to look like 14, 2, 3, 5 or 7 someday soon.

I'd say I'm like 8 or 14, going for 5 or 7.

My work computer won't allow me to upload this onto a photo site...
So here I am. Only photo I could find that was appropriate.
Right now I believe I am an 11 or 13.
I really want to be a 5. Working on my diet I think I can get there.

Ugh, I can't post pictures here at work.
I think I'm 11, which is wonderful since I adore Crystal Ren's body.
I'm still going to go for 5, though. My stomach looked like that for a second in May, and now it's not. Gotta refocus.0 -
My wrists and hands are #1. Then I saw something shiny and lost my focus.0
-
I think I'm 5 or 14, but would like to be 7.

Should do this for the guys... likely the same mismatch...0
-
All right, I'll play along. This is me:
I think I'm most like #2. I'd like to be most like #5. I do a lot of lifting, so I have more definition like 5, but I have trouble gaining enough weight to gain mass to stay there.0 -
I can already tell this is going to be really fascinating.
I think I am most similar to 18 and I would like to be closer to 11 (although lol at the description).

I think I'm 5 or 14, but would like to be 7.
Definitely 5 Mirey, you have been since I've known you. Not 14. I don't think the average girl has your definition.0 -

I think you're already a 70 -

Not posed, that's just the way I stand.0 -
I'd say I'm a 19. I'd like to be more like a 6.
edit: forgot to post the picture0 -
Bump so I can do this at my computer.0

Okay, going to pipe up because I'm sort of wowed now here.
Achrya: I see you way more as 5ish, just slightly curvier. Not 12 at all.
QuietBloom: I agree with Achrya: You're definitely 5 getting close to 7.
HollyDubs: You look closer to 5!!
ETA: I think I might find the 5 figure more encompassing of a certain slight level of definition/fitness, but applied to various body shapes. Too bad there's not another sort of step besides 5 and 7 for definition, but with different body fat distribution.0 -
I think I'm 16 or 18, but would like to be 5 someday0 -
I think I'm a cross between 5 and 7. Is that correct?
(Eff you, Photobucket. Eff to the you. I give up :explode: )0 -
I think I'm 5 or 14, but would like to be 7.
I think you're already a 7
um, sandy? you definitely don't see yourself as we see you! you are already fit/ripped/athletic/muscular! you can keep striving but you are no way "average."
also, @haley: yeah, totally laughing at the pudgy description. if that's pudgy, then i'm ..............0 -
bump for later!0
-
I dunno. 8 or 14?
I'd like to look like 5 or 7.
Not 14 or 8. You're closer to the 11.0 -

(photobucket is not cooperating. Pics are in my profile, if anyone is interested in looking :ohwell: )
I'd have put you as a 5/7 too.0 -
I'd say I'm a thinner version of #16. My fat centers around my abdomen so I don't have much of a waist but my arms and legs are thin. I am afraid of ending up looking like a potato person. As far as what I'd like to look like, I'd be happy with 11. Anything with a waist, really. I mean, 5 would be great but I'm not sure that I have the focus for it.
