1000 Calories a Day, Not Hungry - Bad/Ok?

Sometimes I log at the end of the day and find I'm content on 1000ish. I'm wondering how my whole life, and other smallish women's whole lives, without logging, we didn't damage ourselves all the days we didn't log calories and listened to our bodies and didn't hit some calorie floor value? 100% of the people I know in real life (and all animals and all people who lived more than 200 years ago) don't count. How do/did they not damage themselves by having some low cal days?
I find that my calories average out to a higher value but there are lower and higher days, when I listen to my body and not an app to tell me when/what to eat.0 -
