    Being in North Carolina, the best vacation spots for us (without going overboard and spending thousands) are Hilton Head/Savannah, Isle of Palms/Charleston, and Biltmore/Asheville. I'm particularly fond of Hilton Head. Beautiful beach, not overcrowded, not overpriced, and there's enough to do nearby without getting tacky like Myrtle Beach. Savannah is right there too. Great tours and food.
