what sorts of benefits does one gain by having distant virtual friends? is it a psychological deal or is there any physical benefit that we could all gain? i guess i am very particular about finding like-minded, yet challenging (positively and sometimes negatively, depending on what there is to gain from the experience) individuals. if anyone was wondering, that most definitely was my cynicism coming out, semi-brashly....
