Food(s) that you stopped consuming without realizing it?

- Juice (all kinds)
- French fries. I make my own baked potato wedges now; no need for fries!
- Cookies/cakes/sweets from grocery stores. They taste too sweet now and leaves a nasty after taste for me.
- Same with most processed milk chocolates. Bleh.
- Same with chips and other similar snack foods. They've been replaced by fruits, cherry tomatoes, nuts, and snap peas. I don't miss them at all.
- Cow's milk. My skin cleared up really nicely since I randomly stopped drinking cow's milk...
- Fast food. I just don't desire it anymore...0 -
I stopped eating butter/marg. It just happened, started eating sandwices without it, decided I like cream cheese or hummas better and just stopped. Now it wouldn't even occur to me to have butter or marg on a sandwich.0

I never outright ban any food, but I find that as I'm budgeting my calories and planning my meals, some foods just don't fit in anymore.
Most fast foods and junk food, chocolate, chips. Also nonspecific foods, ie foods brought into the office, doughnuts, muffins, candy, etc... I nearly always skip where I never would have before.0 -
Chocolate. Now it's just 1-2 pieces of Ghirardelli or syrup on my ice cream0

Cheeeeeeese. I used to grab a stick of cheese as a snack at least once a day and would add cheese to everything - roast veggies with parmesan, shredded cheese on my eggs in the morning and salad in the evening. Now I can't tell you the last time I had cheese. Weird. I didn't even notice that I wasn't eating it anymore until you asked and I thought about it. It's just not worth the calories for me.
I still love and eat cheese. But I have noticed that I eat *drastically* less of it than I did in the past. It really helps to cut back on calories, sodium, and fat. There are many things I used to put cheese on and no longer do (burgers, omelets, salads, baked potatoes) and more things that I still top with cheese but probably 1/4 of the amount I used to consider appropriate. For example when we make homemade pizza my husband typically uses 1/2 cup of mozzarrella for the whole large pizza and in the past I would put all or most of a whole 2 cup bag on a large sized homemade pizza. It's not AS cheesy but it is just as delicious.0 -
Pork. I reorganized my freezer today to make room for some ground beef and noticed I had a pile of pork ribs that went untouched since before my last weight loss attempt (ditched and have been keeping off around 25lbs). I think it's time to make room for the beef.0

Fast food in general. If I must, it's always a salad.0

I, too, have stopped consuming milk, cokes, potatoes, and bread as I have progressed in my new low carb lifestyle.0

I'm not sure if this is a stopped eating or a change eating, but:
-chocolate. I used to rummage to find ANY sort of chocolate in the cupboards. If I didn't buy it, I'd end up eating chocolate chips or chocolate syrup just to get my fix. Now I eat really good (really expensive) handmade chocolate and it's amazing. So good and only a little bit is the right amount.
-store bought bread. I've been making my own bread and maybe there's not a huge calorie difference but it's fresher and tastes so much better. Kind of like the chocolate, I'm eating a lot less because it's more satisfying.
-margarine. Now I use real butter. Yeah, it's higher in cals but it tastes better and a little can go a long way. I still use olive oil for cooking for the most part, but real butter on homemade bread
- crap ice cream. Again, I buy the good stuff now, not just whatever is cheap that I'll shovel in my mouth. It's more expensive and comes in a smaller container but I only get it maybe once every month or two.0 -

Earth balance vegan aged white cheddar popcorn. Oh my god I used to eat half of a big bag, if not more, every night. I was hooked. It tasted SO much like the smart food bags I remember from my childhood. I couldn't believe it. I used to buy three at a time lol. One day I just stopped, and now I don't crave them anymore0

How can you not eat something (as in, quit eating something you used to eat) and NOT realize it?0

I don't think I've entirely stopped eating anything, but I am having a LOT less of the below without really trying:
Mayonnaise and salad cream
Sweet and savoury pastries
Crisps
Cheese
Pizza
Ice cream
However I still eat quite a lot of biscuits, chocolate, chips and white rice...0 -
Soda. Fast food.
I just prefer not to drink my calories and I don't really like diet sodas. If I really feel like I want something different to drink (or if I'm needing a little caffeine), I'll just add a thing of Crystal Lite to my water.
Fast food kinda died off as I started working out and I didn't want to undo all the time I just put in. I did fast food twice while I was out of town for a family event and I felt LOUSY. I accounted for it with my calories and tried to make the healthiest choice I could… but my body just did not like it. Haven't had fast food since.0 -
I made a decision to eat wholefoods and as healthy as possible, including lots of new fresh food in my diet, I only meant to cut out bad stuff 5 days a week but I never eat any of this stuff anymore now that I think about it.
Cheese. I knew I had to cut out dairy due to ibs and I loved cheese. It was hard at first but now I just forget that I don't have it.
Consequently, things that I ate because of cheese. Cheesy pasta dishes, jacket potato cheese & beans, cheesy scrambled eggs, crackers with butter & cheese, pizza....
Bread. I've just forgotten about it. I might try sprouted rye as I can't have wheat but I never crave it anymore.
Doughnuts & cakes. Now when I'm around them I have no longing to eat them.
Packaged noodles & dinners like super noodles chinese egg fried rice pot noodle etc can't think of anything worse
Fast food
Sweets. If I want sweets, I buy a portioned small pack of dates or dried apricots. For chocolate, I can buy stevia sweetened or dark chocolate (85% or 90% cacao)
Nutella. I now make my own.
Cooke dough & peanut butter cups. I make my own healthy ones.
Most Breakfast cereals. I either make my own, eat porridge or buy wholefoods ones
Jam
Butter
Low fat Yogurts
Even things I used to adore like biscuits & crisps.0 -
Chocolate.
I sometimes have chocolate flavored things, like yogurt or the soft chocolate cookies on a mini ice-cream sandwich. But real chocolate has been pretty much absent in the last 6 months, save for a couple of special occasions.0 -
I stopped eating pasta. It used to be staple when I was with my first husband but once single, I rarely cooked it for myself. I also don't eat pretzels... I can't say that I love them but I won't stop eating them if they're around. Like a lot of people, I don't drink cow's milk anymore. I just found that I prefer almond milk.0

I noticed that red meat has pretty much been taken out of my routine. The few times I have eaten red meat it's never been very satisfying. Mostly I eat chicken or fish, although lately I seem to be eating a lot of vegetarian options instead.0
