1200 calories a day seems kind of low. Might be better to increase that a little more and add in some additional exercise.
I'm 5'11", 200 lbs, 32 yrs old, and I aim for about 1-2 lbs a week. I eat around 2300-2400 calories a day. Generally I lose about 1.5-2 lbs a week on average. I lift weights 3-4 times a week for about 30-45 minutes and I try to do cardio everyday whether it's jogging a mile or doing 30 minutes on the elliptical at the gym. Rarely hungry and still eat the foods I enjoy, just watch the portions now.0 -
I'm 5'1 and I'm set to lose 1lb a week at 1720 I don't hit it often just by watching portion sizes. I'm closer to eating about 1600 a day really. I just had a big drop but that may have been the swelling finally dropping from spraining my knees last week. But I'm losing about 1.5 a week I'm expecting that to slow soon though.0

5'5 and currently 138 pounds, started at 173. my exercise routine is all over the place, but i eat most of my exercise calories back. While not working out, i eat atleast 1500+ calories a day. My job is sedentary too. My loss has slowed down a lot recently due to eating being all over the place, but if i do eat 1500+ exercise calories, i would lose around .5 pound per week.0
