So I was reading this book and they used the saying (well close anyway) "No Holes Barred", and I am thinking isn't it "No holds barred"? Thought maybe I was wrong for a minute there. What sayings have you or someone else gotten wrong?

Were you reading a pornographic book? That to me is the only logical explanation of misusing that phrase0

Six of one: half a dozen of the other.
Essentially means "it makes no difference".0 -

I was expecting something more like this in the OP lol0 -
When they say, "...did a complete 360."
What they meant is that they did exactly the opposite. Which would be "a 180."
If you draw a circle and stop at 180 degrees, you're at HALF of the complete circle. To say that you "did a 360" implies that you're right back where you started.
Ugh. Illiterates.
Oh. And "Loose." Like nails on a chalkboard.0 -
"For all intensive purposes."
I get annoyed when someone writes, "your wrong." I also get annoyed when someone says "good" and they mean "well."
"How are you today?"
"I'm doing good!"

Its from sanctioned fighting/wrestling a long time ago. Meaning that there were no illegal holds / maneuvers to be disqualified for.
Even with MMA today there are rules for safely bludgeoning your opponent.0
