I loved PUSHING DAISIES: the colors, the feel, the stories and deadpan wit. I also miss TWIN PEAKS although admit the second season became a bit dull once the murder was solved. I hear it is being brought back but I won't get my hopes up

Funny. The second I saw the title of this thread I thought "Pushing Daisies". I love that show. I have the 2 seasons on DVD. But everyone I show it too doesn't get it. They think it's cheezy. But I think it was brilliant and visually stunning.

They lack our genius and cultural wherewithal Ha

Pushing Daisies was my knee jerk choice! I think someone needs to tell the TV people that we miss this show. My second thought was The United States of Tara. Freaks and Geeks is an excellent choice as well.
  • Not sure you're old enough to remember "Firefly". The show was cancelled at one point and so many watchers wrote to the TV network that the show started getting made again. I think you can still stream it from Netflix. I really liked it. It's about a spaceship captain and his crew and all the different planets they go to. I'm female and don't like "Star Trek" but I liked this. "Pushing Daisies" I also liked. I can't quite remember but I think it was a light-hearted show about waking up the dead for a few minutes to determine what caused their death. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Firefly, it needed at least 5 more seasons.
Better off Ted could have gone another season or two.

    Hmmm.... what else?......

Generally speaking, I feel that most tv series shouldn't go past 3 years unless they are really good, then they can go up to 5 years. Only outrageously funny cartoons can get by with longer. There is the occassional unique show that has a cast-chemistry and storyline that can go past 5 years. I most of the ones that have been cancelled had run their course.

    The Finder was good
Veronica Mars - I could've watched that for a few more seasons. (I heard rumour there might be a web-series)
    Being Erica perhaps
The 4400 needed another season to come to a better end

    TL:DR

    THE CLASS!

It only lasted one season, but that's where I first saw the redheaded guy from Modern Family and he was just as hilarious then.

Father Ted - silly, irreverent BBC show. Sadly, the main character passed away. Here's the first episode on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT9K0TAfiIQ

Deadwood. They had something really special there, and the idiots went and cancelled it!

Also in a slightly perverse way, Prophet, I've never seen such an evil character on tv, and it was slightly compulsive to watch what would happen next, lol
