I think you just have to go more by knowing your body when it comes to frame size. I know for my i have tiny wrist and my fingers overlap(i also have very long skinny fingers!) But I have wide hips shoulders and rib cage. I know for me I will never be a size 4 even tho im at low weight. I cant shrink bone! So im happy with my 9 jean and size 11N feet. Its me, ill just continue to tone up.

I agree with you, and I think you are wise. I don't really care what the end number is as far as clothes size. I just want to look and feel better. However, I did want to post this to see all the different variations so that when I do start losing more weight I will see the different ranges that everybody is in.

For example, I already saw one post where she and I are the same height but probably 40 lbs different but still wearing the same size clothes. Its amazing the different ways body's carry weight and the different body shapes that are out there.

I like the idea of this post...and I think I speak for most when I say that we are all well aware of how vastly different we are...I could never be a size 00 or even a 5 or 6. Nor would I like to be...what is the perfect size for one person is not the perfect size for everyone. Seeing everyone's different measurements is nice because it helps us find common ground with one another, not create unrealistic expectations for ourselves. Thank you for posting, it is very refreshing to see how unique we all are.

Here's something to ponder... you know how people say grab yourself around the wrist to measure whether your frame is small, medium or large? Well, when I started out, I figured I was medium because my fingers exactly met. Now, given all that "wrist fat" I've lost, I am apparently now a small frame because there's overlap. At this point, I just think I have long fingers and frame has nothing to do with it!

Frame size IS measured by wrists but only when you're within a healthy weight range. If you google frame size wrist measurement it will come up with the measurements in inches/centimetres . Finger lengths vary too much to be reliable

Heres the calculator, most accurate when not carrying too much extra weight and when taken with elbow measurements too

I agree. There is not cookie cutter for a "beautiful woman". I think our different shapes and sizes make us uniquely beautiful. And i have always found it interesting how the same size can look so different on different woman.

    Close as well.

5'6" (how on earth do you get 1/2s and 3/4s?)
    180
size 14 (Canada), but my bottom tends to lose before my top, which hasn't anything to do with "the girls", only ribcage size, I think.

LOL I wondered about that frame size too... I will try to add you as a friend, MFP only lets you add 5 friends every 10 minutes LOL

haha If you guys could see my fingers... i have a size 10 ring finger (it's going down though)...my fiance keeps telling me i have pork sausages...so i have really short, fat fingers...does that mean i'm suppose to be a size 0? my BMI is 155lbs at the most...does that sound right? i had to buy a Man's HMR because I have thick wrists...oh now I've confused myself:ohwell:

    Size 14 pants
Size M/L shirts...depends on the brand

I think it's interesting to see how different the range of bodies can be. People definitely carry weight differently. I got all my extra junk in my trunk. I don't think I'll ever get into single digit sizes but I'm ok with that. I'm more excited that at this point I can run three miles in a row without stopping.

Once I get to 145, I will begin hardcore toning and hopefully lose 10 more pounds of fat but replace it with 10 pounds of muscle. I'd like to be in a size 6.

    About your height - between 5'6" 3/4 and 5'7"
    164
Sizes range from Med-XL; 10-12 - even some really old 14's (US)
    Female

It's interesting to see - even though we are all different. If people do not want to post - don't!

We are close! I'm 5' 6.5" and 164 lbs. Size 14-16 UK, though. Did my measurements the other day and it looks like I'd be a US 14. UK 14s are still a little tight on me.
