It's casual Friday today at work so I can wear jeans. The pair I have on today are normally the ones I have to wear around the house and dance around in before going out when they come out from the dryer (ladies y'all know what I'm talking about). Today, I just put them on and zipped, without feeling like I have to suck in or like I'm rocking an epic muffin top.

I'm also wearing a L tank top from Old Navy under my jacket today. Granted, it's a super stretchy tank but it's still nice to not see that X before the L  .

I'll be honest when I say those are both big surprises. I just moved recently and between work, moving stress, and not being able to cook at home so eating out a lot, when I unpacked my scale it said I had put on 5 lbs :noway: ! As of last Sunday I was back to just 0.6 lb above my last official weigh in. Phew lol. BUT now that I AM officially in my new place, I'm back to cooking all my meals and can now start going to the gym with my sister  .

Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and I think I see progress but then I wonder if I'm just imagining it because I want to see progress so badly. I thought my sides looked slimmer but then I decided it was just wishful thinking. Later I was riding the bike at the gym and a woman I see there sometimes came over and told me she saw from from across the room and she could tell I had lost weight, especially in my sides. It felt so nice to have my observations confirmed. Also, I'm really thankful for a gym where the ladies are all very kind and encouraging.

When hospitalized this week, I wore a regular Johnny and used a regular bp cuff. I'll take that positive NSV out of a negative situation.

I started back with MFP this week Tuesday - I worked out for 4 days in a row - even when I barely wanted to get out of bed!!!

I chose grapes versus chips last night and I chose eating at home versus running through drive through as I was home by myself - that made me proud of me as previously the choice would have been so the opposite!!! WHOOT WHOOT!!! :)

That is a big one!! Super cool!

I had a couple of similar experiences this week...my husband was out of town. He is the main cook in our house, and a huge positive influence on me, and while he was away instead of grabbing a fast food lunch I still went home and cooked healthier things for myself. On Tuesday night, I had purposely squirreled away LOTS of extra calories so I could enjoy a girls' night out with friends. We went to a Mexican restaurant and I ordered one of the healthiest entrées. My friends got margaritas but I didn't, because it just wasn't worth the calories to me and I knew I wanted something sweet. I could have stopped at the frozen custard place on my way home (about a 4 block trip home) and gone over by 200-300 calories to have a treat there...instead I drove a few miles in the other direction, walked around Target for an hour (not exercise but a FEW steps anyway) and treated myself to a 190 calorie Lindt chocolate bar instead. Was totally satisfied and ended my day under by about 90 cal.

This morning I turned down the bakery doughnuts at work and when I went out to lunch it was free cookie day at subway and I left without a cookie. Can you say willpower!

I have a "test" dress and skirt in my closet that I try on periodically to test whether I am becoming smaller or not instead of relying on the scale (up and down) and my mirror (it lies like a *kitten*). For the first time in months, maybe a year, I can zip both articles closed without issue. Dress fits perfectly and skirt fits. Almost there. Abs really are made in the kitchen.

My Hawaiian shirt fits. It hasn't fit in at least 10 years.

totally an NSV, outsiders who have no vested interest in your happiness noticed the change. Regardless of why they think it happened, it happened and you know it was your hard work and dedication to making yourself healthy and happy. Just wait till they see you again ;)

    Wonderful NSVs!!! WTG!!

My dh commented that my butt looked great this week...not one to normally see it myself, I checked it after my shower today, in a pair of previously too small panties, and it did look much better -higher and kind of rounded! Wow! I'm flat wide butt lady normally! Go squats!

AND last night I ran for 30 minutes non-stop, and felt like I could keep jogging! Not too shabby. :D

My HRM chest band was reading wonky yesterday so I had to tighten it to get it to read properly :)

I've been getting compliments and encouragement from coworkers.

Just got back from the doctor's office for a follow up visit. My A1C dropped from 8.4 to 6.9 over 9 months. My HDL is up and LDL is down. Triglycerides are down. My blood pressure went from 140/90 to 118/74. My doc took me off one medication and cut the amount of another medication. Apparently, I made my doctor's day.

My A1c went from 6.5 to 4.9 and my Triglycerides and Blood pressure have dropped. Also, at least 6 different people noticed my weight loss this week.

I had several NSV's this week...

    1. Today will be day seven in a row that I have been to the gym!
    2. I wore dress pants to work, and they were comfortable, that haven't fit me in about 2 years.
    3. I had to drill another hole in my belt because it was just getting to loose to do its job!
    4. I had to buy new jeans this week because I was developing "droopy butt" in my old, saggy jeans.
    5. And the big one... I have horrible knees, to the point where walking steps is painful and I could do one step at a time. This week, I have started doing the steps normal again and my knees are feeling MUCH better!!!

Nothing good happened to me this week. The scale went up a pound. Haven't lost anything since last week. My stomach was so bloated I looked like I was having a food baby...Maybe my back looks a little better, better luck next week.

    I have two:
    1. I've been posting my runs on FB with runkeeper and today I noticed one of my friends doing the same and I'm gonna assume (though of course I don't know for sure) that I inspired him!
    2. I checked my fitbit stats and it turns out that I did over ten thousand steps every single day in the past two weeks except for 1 day when I was on a 7 hr road trip and 1 day when I had dental surgery!

I've been putting off buying too many clothes until I'm closer to my gw.
Most of my work clothes that I bought at the beginning of the summer "to get me through" are too big! :)
Like the shirt I'm wearing today, straps keep falling down!!! I didn't even think about losing in the shoulders. lol.

Bunch of fitness related ones this week.

Finished C25K last Friday and ran the whole 5K for the first time. Pace (barring warm-up): 9:45 min/mi

Test week for Wendler's 5/3/1, so PRs on squat, bench, deadlift, ohp. I finally squat more than I weigh! Next target: bench. Need to add another 30lbs. No biggie, right?

All three runs this week PRs for distance and time.
M: 4-5 mi (guessing because I used the accelerometer)
    W: 5.3 mi (GPS)
F: 5.4 mi (guess based on time and an 11 min/mi pace. It's probably a bit farther. I have a pretty steady 10 min/mi pace including warm up)

I've made it two full weeks here and went to the gym 4 days out of 5 this week! Also, as a full figured woman I was not about to buy the next size up, but I probably needed to. Now I don't need to anymore!

I take this back. I just tried on my size 6 A line dress from Anthropologie and it's too big! In June I was wearing it without the halter and now it would fall straight down. Kinda sad because it's a beautiful dress though.

I picked up the bridesmaid's dress that I ordered 3 months ago. I had ordered it 2 sizes too small and I needed to lose 3 inches from my waist for it to fit. I tried it on and it fits! If anything it's a bit too big. That felt amazing.
