Do you dare?

I'm bored, it's late, and I have nothing to do. I stop by this forum on occasion late nights or when I have a moment to catch a break (house, 2 kids, working out, going to college, working full time, life basically) so tonight I am feeling brave and e-chatty. I was driving home from school (I have a 1.5 hour drive) and listening to the radio when Collbie Callat (spelling?) song came on "Try". The song is about loving yourself at your bare bones no matter your age or your appearance. The song really hit me hard because in our world of marketing and photoshoping even the most attractive people I believe we lose sight of loving ourselves for who we are. Not just for the bare bones face that looks back at us, but for the person that we are or the person we are trying to become. Shortly after the song a friend of mine on facebook mentioned "Girls, if you're saying 'without make up' then using ten filters it isn't really you being natural at all!" So I took about fifteen pictures one day while hanging outside enjoying our summer weather. I had to go in our garage to take the photos because I couldn't see if I was in the photo or not otherwise. Either way I took the photos and added them to facebook right after, it was empowering. No I am not perfect, but I am perfectly happy with myself. So I ask, do you dare post make up less unfiltered pictures of you? (Men, women, aliens? ) Because here are mine.

Hola. Hoping to see other people post. I am in the process of writing something for school about "real beauty" versus "manufactured beauty" and personal perceptions therein.
Plus, I'm curious.0 -

I only wear make up about twice a year, but I also only voluntarily take pictures about twice a year. Luckily I wanted a teacher face pic for my profile so this was available.0 -

You ladies are naturally beautiful!
I've got a few on Facebook without makeup on. I won't lie, without makeup, I'm absolutely nothing to look at. No, that's not me beating myself up, or having some horrible self esteem, I just don't look good. I look a lot *better* if I have a tan, but haven't gotten to get out in the sun as much as I'd like this summer, nor have I been to the tanning bed. I won't lie, either. I've gotten lazy. I just don't feel like putting the effort in that it takes to put a full face of makeup on to go to Wal-Mart, here, or there. These days, there are only certain things I get made up for, so to speak, unless I just get in the mood.
I'm not gonna lie, I think this has got a filter on it. It's from back at Christmas, and it's on Instagram, so it's most likely filtered. However, you can see mah lack of eyebrows, blonde eyelashes (I was born with black hair, blonde eyebrows and eyelashes-- yeah, natural freak to society), bags under the eyes. The struggle is real, filter or not. It's all there. The only thing you can't get a good look at are the nice lines that are visible on my forehead and around my eyes.
EDIT: PS: Don't hate on mah snazzy flannel nightgown.

I'd have to actually go wash my face to be totally without makeup right now, I've still got a bit on from work today.
Here's a post-workout one I took a few months ago, though.

You are beautiful! All of you!
No make-up in my profile pic. I rarely wear make-up also.0 -
Beautiful I wore a lot of make up in my twenties, I do not think it is really that flattering. Looking back it made me look older. Eyeliner though, I believe that's the key to looking fabulous ^_^0

I'm actually a giant push over in my classroom, being strict is exhausting, but I *can* effectively communicate when my students are starting to piss me off without having to raise my voice.
Now if only that face worked on my husband, he thinks it's adorable :explode: .0
