  • I loved this post! I was just sitting in bed feeling stressed to the max and wishing I had some chocolate cake and buttery popcorn and then thought to myself... I'm such a pig for thinking that! But I'm an emotional eater and this is a journey that is shared with thousands of others! You really helped keep my spirits up today :)

If only I had this technology 34 years ago I might not be here today. It's such simple physics and it's only when we learn to embrace the "chore" of logging and not "dieting" that it works it really works.

    OP I love the post

    But - @Joanne_happygamma
    This quote is priceless.

    Embrace logging

Can we set the original post to just autoreply to everyone who says they need to lose weight fast, have no discipline ,etc?

Of course I clicked on your topic... because that's unfortunately how I think every day... but I have to say your posting was not what I expected. It was inspired, insightful and informative. Thank you.

Wonderful post. I have a woman priest friend who at a retreat when someone identified a dessert she was eating as "bad" said that it is spiritually damaging to classify food and eating as having moral qualities. She was one of the most emotionally and spiritually healthy person I ever met.

I have a question for you: were you afraid to run when you were heavier. Did you hurt your feet or ankles? At what point do you think you should try to run. It's like 99 outside right now, but I could start running in the pool? what do you think? Do they make special shoes for very heavy people do I just walk for a while hmm?:flowerforyou:
