    Black Flag, yes. Jimmy Eat World, yes! Rest of your list, I'm sure yes but I don't know em, by name. I know a lot by sound. But if it's got electric guitar and real drums, I like it.

    Since everyone defines "Rock" differently...

    I like Metallica, Chevelle, Red, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, Sick Puppies, Jimmy Eat World, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Three Days Grace and Apocalyptica.

    I'm also a fan of some not very hardcore girly rock... haha. Like Flyleaf, Icon For Hire etc. And Within Temptation.

    Ooo yeah I like Flyleaf! How about Lacuna Coil? Within Temptation has a couple songs I like. This almost falls into the "guilty pleasure" category... I really like Paramore. That girl can really sing! Great stage presence too. I love her energy. You should really check out War on Women. It's a bit feminazi political, but Shawna is amazing.

    I like some.Lacuna Coil... but I dislike the guy. Haha. I'm not sure how Feminist music would sit with me... I'm very right wing. Haha. But I'll give it a shot.

    I hear you - I have some right wing leanings myself. I'm mostly a fan of the music and Shawna herself (her previous band is my favorite of all time, and my husband actually got them to reunite and come from Baltimore to play our joint bachelor/ette party), more so than the lyrics.     Edited to say: Avec isn't feminist at all, it's mostly about sci-fi and general life/relationship stuff. Sort of a math-y tech-y post-hardcore sound ... the band members are all huge fans of Failure and Rush and you can definitely hear those influences.

    Heck yes. Probably all time favorite is a hardcore band out of Boston called Have Heart. Also love Haste the Day (making a new album whooop!), Stick to Your Guns, Parkway Drive, The Devil Wears Prada, The Ghost Inside, The Story so Far, Comeback Kid... and many more..
