Congratulations =-) I remember you on the 'black team' biggest loser challenge back in 2008/2009. (My user Id then was punka274)
Your an inspiration and ^5's on your success!!
HI!! We are still around, it is just a private group now. How have you been? I loved the BL challenges.0 -

I read your story with interest, but then stopped halfway through, when I got here:Please listen to this...........those of you who think you cant do this without running 5 miles or doing P90X every day front to back...I walked to the STOP SIGN that first day. I was so out of breath and only 45 yrs old! What the WHAT???? :grumble:
Little by little I went further and further. One day I stopped by a 100 push up challenge thread to cheer the girls on. I received a note back "You can do ONE! Try it" So I did. I started on the wall, moved to the end of the bed, down to a stair and then my first full out push up! Did it take a month? Yup. Did I do it? You betcha!
These two paragraphs reminded me of where I was at the beginning, and stopped me from putting off today's strength session.
With my workout now done, a huge round of applause to you for your achievement, and many thanks to you for getting me up to do my workout today. People like you inspire me here every single day!0 -
Love this!!!!!
MFP is and has been the very thing that helped me change my life. The support here is like no other!!! Are we there yet, there is no limit to what you can achieve, you are such an inspiration!!!!!

This made me but in a good way! How many times I have been in your shoes and one of my friends here has inspired me.
Over the past 6 months it has been to eat. Subtle and not so subtle reminders that 800 calories is NOT ok!
and a huge WOOT!!! to your for achieving so much!0 -

I realised not long ago the being on MFP is the reason why I have succeeded this year, versus failing in years passed:
1) due to the discipline of calorie counting
2) due to the support of MFP friends
3) the great accomplishments such as yours inspiring me to stay committed0 -

I feel exactly the same way. There is no way I would have continued without MFP. I have tried over the years. Lost 10 and gained 20. Over and over again.
I truly believe the community here is key. I learn something new each day.
Back when I first started I was a member (still am) of the Black Team mentioned above. There are still times I "hear" Katidid's voice in my ear telling me to take the stairs.
Simple small changes make all the difference0 -
Congrats! And bravo!0

Hey you!
Very nice to hear the good news. Can we celebrate with pizza, please?
Most certainly. And ice cream? :drool:0 -
Thank you everyone for your kind words. IF not for YOU I would not be here. Again today an MFP friend put me back on the straight and hopefully still narrow

Me too! I actually just used the same words on mine that I posted the day I finished the run. Makes sense to me, but I'm not sure it would have the same meaning to anyone else, unfortunately.0 -

Fit peeps helped me with my first one. The next one has to be really good. Run a 5k or lifting heavier weights. I am ready. physically and mentally!
Dancing has been fun, and helped me lose a bit more-get a better shape. Now on to bigger and better things !0 -
Great job - congrats!0

Just stopping in to say I have maintained 116 for how many months now. I have increased my food intake to 1500. I am a shorty so that is enough for me until I hit the weights, which I admit I have not done. Mainly because I had to get my food right before I could expect to lift. Happy Thanksgiving!!0

Just read your story and saw your beautiful pictures. Very encouraging!0
