GOOD CARBS: oatmeal, grains, flax seed, rice, veggies, fruits
BAD CARBS: most breads, pasta, sugar, soda, refined foods.
This might help a little http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/list-good-carbs-bad-carbs-6520.html0 -
MFP is good for tracking your calories and macro and micro nutrients and for having a support group.
as far as understanding carbs, that takes a little research but mfp will help you keep track.
its good for most people who are trying to track their fitness and diet.0 -

My mum has type 2 diabetes. Her nurse told her that low GI (Glycemic Index) carbs are better to keep her blood glucose levels stable throughout the day, whilst high GI carbs would cause a peak in sugar levels, followed by a crash. I'm no expert but I think it might be worth google-ing or asking your doctor about0
