"Save money! Lose weight!" Remember the mantra this week and drive PAST the drive-thru! Maybe it should be "Save money! Save your LIFE!"?
Grab snacks, pack lunches, plan dinner TODAY so when it is time to cook for you and/or your fam, you don't throw in the towel and order out!

I'm in! No fast food for me! I will probably have some tomato soup and a 1/2 sandwich today because I am craving it. Good luck everyone!0

Great challenge! We had Mcds last night I ordered 2 grilled chicken snack wraps no sauce no cheese as always and a side salad with 1/2 of the southwest dressing. Fat intake wasnt bad but sodium at fast food places are terrible! You feel like an oompa loompa an hour later and you just feel "gross" after eating it. I want to do this too!!! Boycott McDs lol! They have NOTHING to offer that is healthy even though they make it seem that way! At least Subway offers egg white substitute for breakfast! Today I am eating my own made salad and Smart Ones chicken mini wraps! They are so good! You should try! Have a great day! Thanks for the challenge! :happy:0

I have done every well this week!! It is payday and I have always gone to Wendy's for a chili & baked potato....as I was getting ready for work this morning I thought of my fast food lunch and realized I couldn't have it so I packed myself another healthy lunch!!!!

Some of us in the challenge would have already had two Fast-Crap meals already this week. We're at DAY FIVE FOLKS! We are feeding ourselves and our loved ones healthier, less expensive meals this week and saying NO WAY to FAST CRAP! Can I get an "AMEN"? :bigsmile:
I have found myself out of habit, not concious thought nearly steering into the drive-thru. We're "conditioned" to do so these days!
Thank you to all of you who have already excluded Fast-Crap and have been stopping into the daily threads to offer words of wisdom and support!
The weekend approaches folks. We'll be out and about Christmas shopping no doubt and meals on the run are going to be tempting. Have a plan. Take snacks. Take WATER.

Note: Subway wheat breads are not wheat. They are white bread with dyes added for color. They also add ammonium sulfate to their bread. Helps the yeast. That chemical is used in fertilizers. Just something interesting I found out not too long ago.

So here is a comparison last week 12/6-12/12...I ate out a total of SIX times, TWO of those were with the family for a total of $64.26. (Subway, McDonalds, Sonic, Chinese Restaurant.) :noway:
This week ZERO times eating out, (two days left), for a total of $0.00! :drinker:0 -
Oh crap.... I forgot about the challenge and just had a subway sandwich for lunch!
I think this challenge is worth repeating - but not until after Christmas.

well pc, while subway is a sodium fiend, it is the better choice of fast food. so give yourself credit that when you had fast food, you made a better choice!
