I'm not quite halfway to my goal, but I'm definitely seeing changes. :blushing:

And the T-shirt I made to fish for compliments.
I'll update it every 10 lb & plan to wear it to the gym for a week each time.

Feeling good so far, starting to see/feel muscles as the fat goes away.
And there are stupid little victories like being able to cut my toenails so much easier without so much belly & thigh in the way!
Oh, and I took in my uniform pants 8" in the waist! By next boating season I expect to need to buy a smaller size.
I'm beginning to think that this whole "get fit & slim down" program might be possible.

Fantastic. I am close to 50 myself and I feel good. I know what you mean when you can do simple things like trimming the toenails. You look great. Congrats and love the shirt.

I'm happy. My doctor is pretty happy with my progress too:
50 lb in 32 weeks, about 1.5 lb per week on average.
My next little goals are to be 20% down from my starting weight (220.2), then halfway to goal (220.1 lb).
    your shorts are getting longer
Yeah, there's less for them to cover in the butt & belly! LOL
    I've taken them in too.
Hoping to make some spandex capri pants (or even bike shorts) before too much longer, once I can unbury the serger.
I finally found directions on how to draft a pattern, and I have plenty of fabric.

ETA: The shirt says the same thing on the back.
Be sure to put a plastic bag or newspaper between front & back before you take a sharpie to it!
  • Well done!! what a cute small waist you have :)

Had to see my regular doctor for something today, and she was happy with my loss so far too.

The weight record they had in January was 5 lb heavier than what my scale shows (and of course was higher today too) so they think I've lost 52 lb.
I had started refusing to be weighed, since it usually didn't apply to why I was being seen & I already knew I was fat. :frown:
