Thank you all. My fiancé actually really helped me kick the scale to the curb. He saw my low calories, how tired I was, and how sad I would get after weighing. I thought he was being mean about it until one day I realized that he was just worried with the mental state i was in with my weight loss journey. Things are so much better now because he really helped me see how important my health was.0

Fantastic job and great determination. Keep it up!0

FIRST - CONGRATS! You look amazing!
SECOND - Love how you changed your mindset and this may be something I need to consider, I don't weigh myself several times a day every day, but some days I do weigh myself more than once (maybe 1-2 times a week I do that)....but some days I can go several days without weighing and it won't bother me, but I know I the number does affect me a lot!!
THIRD - You have gorgeous eyes and were so pretty before, too!! Love your style (what I can see through the pics).
Congrats again and thanks for sharing your story, it struck a chord with me for sure!0 -
You look great, and are very beautiful! Congrats on your weight loss!0

Just dreaming again this am and read about your weight loss. Congrats. I will kick the scale to the curb also as it does get you depressed when the numbers don't move. I started walking 3 times / week with a friend and hoping to stick with it this time. I think the thing is to just get moving. Heading out for my walk now. Thanks for the motivation and keep on smiling. Trying to get from 230 lbs down to 150 lbs . Big number Eh? Any help will be appreciated0

Great job and what a beautiful young lady you are.
The first half of your scale addiction sounds just like mine. The difference is the following: I told my husband to take the scale and hide it as I was jumping on it several times a day. Two days later he went and got it and begged me to take it back!!! LOL. I sure was *****y those two days!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me - scale did not work for me, but so glad you have had success without it. I NEED MY SCALE!!!0 -
I'm a daily weigher, so I understand the appeal of stepping on the scale, and placing your hopes on the number that stares back at you.
Congratulations on your new pants and the other healthy NSV's!0 -
Great job! Look at those arms!0

CONGRATULATIONS, you look amazing!
I pray that I loose 75 lbs by either the end of this year and no later than March. The scale is my enemy as well. I really want to start to do the weight lift soon, I'm just starting out with Zumba and the elliptical those are the only two that I have been committed to lately.
You are truly an inspiration to me0 -
I'm so glad that I can inspire others to do better. Lord knows I really needed inspiration over the last year. Admitting to having a very unhealthy relationship with the scale was so extremely hard. I denied it for so long. My fiancé took it away at one time, but instead of continuing to eat healthy and exercise, I stopped everything and gained a few pounds. This time, I refused to go backwards. I hope that this has helped others, because I know that losing weight can be as big of a mental challenge as it is physical.
Congrats on all of your success as well!
ladiburr, I think that is a very realistic goal, and I do think that can be done, but it will take a lot of hard work and determination, as you already know. However, if you don't reach the goal- give yourself some credit for what you DO achieve.0 -
Well done, you! You look fantastic and the change in the tone of your arms is amazing!0

Fantastic and such a wonderful story! You look amazing, but the best part is the way you now feel about yourself now having kicked the scale to the curb. It is so easy to get obsessed with that number, but this lifestyle change takes time. There is no overnight long term success.
The photos and your NSVs are positive reinforcements of the progress you made. There are so many things that can change and influence the number on the scale. Besides you know that you have lost weight and will continue to make progress.0 -
Wonderful! Your hard work shows. Ii had the same problem with the scale. Weighing many times a day- even in the middle of the night. Also I would forget the number almost immediately. It was making me completely miserable and quite insane. One day,. I secretly donated it to to a charity shop. Then my family wanted to wiegh suitcases for a flight and couldn't find it:laugh: . I bought another one....now Im starting to again to weight alot. I will have to put it in the back of a closet so it's inconvenient to find. I will take your lead and look for NSV. Our stories are very similar. Thanks for the inspiration. Enjoy your dates.0

I just had this experience this morning... This week I ate 4500 calories below to meet at least a 1 pound difference from last week. When I got on the scale this morning, I was only down 1/2 pound.... I'm so pissed. Like you were I'm getting very frustrated that the scale is not justifying the blood sweat and tears i'm doing in the gym and the discipline I am eating with. I guess I have to try your approach and just not weigh in for a few weeks.0

Way to go! I have issues with the scale too to the point where my therapist told me not to weigh myself at all. I eat healthily and exercise and use my changing pant sizes to gauge how things are going. I'm down two sizes since the beginning of July.
Congratulations! You look fantastic!0 -
Congrats and I'm glad your partner is supportive and is concerned for your entire well-being. Hats off to him for getting you to eat healthier.0
