    Hi Everyone! I'm still around, I've just been SNOWED IN! I went snowboarding for exercise but can't log those as miles in this thread although it's a great workout!

    Hitting the gym tomorrow!

    I did zumba this morning and afterwards, I had nothing left in the tank.I did manage .57 miles. I guess every little bit counts!

    .57(me) + 620.66 (previous) = 621.23 (new)

    Also for any of you reading this that have experience with walking, running etc...why would I feel better at the 3-5km point than I do when I start? I warm up before I even get on... that ankle is whining at me until about 3.5 km then it feels fine?!?

    Ankle, leg and even back pain is directly related to the shoes you wear. Mine isn't my ankle but a tendonopathy in my calves. I can jump on the T/M and not feel a thing until I'm done. I just switched to a new pair of running shoes and it's clearing up. The R/S I replaced were heavier and they were cross trainers I was using for the past 2 weeks until I could get the new ones. The right shoes are essential to running pain free. If you haven't had your running style/stride tested by a dedicated R/S store then do it. If you do a search online and there isn't one nearby or they charge for the service then go here: http://www.runningwarehouse.com/

    This site will analyze your video(free) or you can compare it to their video to see what your running style/stride is and the shoe selection is sectioned by type of support needed. I'm a "neutral/natural" runner so I buy that type of shoe. If someone "pronates" or rolls their foot inwards during their stride(footfall) then they buy from that section. Free shipping both directions so returns are a snap.

    I've read that stretching B4 running isn't really necessary and my experience agrees w/ that. Stretching after is still a good idea though. I have progressed to the point I don't warm up either. I stand on the siderail, hit 6 and once it gets up to walking speed I get on and a few step later, I'm up to speed. Good luck in your quest.
