BUT it's only 2lbs and i refused all leftovers! Wooot!0 -
I feel ya. However, I've been really really good for the last couple months, since it's Christmas I'll let the one day slide. It wasn't too terrible, but it wasn't great. However, it was just one day. And, one of the more important days of the year! Yay for healthy eats from now on!0

Don't fret for a minute. Today is a new day and I find that an occasional day doesn't change the directional nature of your results over time.

Exactly! It was only temporary.0 -
I'm with you but make it the last 20 days for me! Gained back 2 of my hard lost lbs. but today is a new day (and all the tempting goodies are out of my house!)0

I did, too. But, life goes on and today is a NEW day! Your body will forgive you - give it lots of water, exercise and whole foods within your calories and it will bounce back. That's what I'm counting on ;-).0

Oh me to, I had done really well up to now and I hope I can get back at it. Good luck all0

I refused seconds, which is a first for me during the Holidays!! And I only had a small bit of dessert.0 -
me too and I enjoyed every moment of it :-)0

Christmas was fun now its time to get back to real life.0

I find that I need a free/cheat day here and there, otherwise I feel too deprived and end up saying "screw it". I only take one every couple weeks, but they help me so much.
Also, they can be good for breaking a plateau. Our metabolisms are creatures of habit, and they get use to what we fuel them with. A day or two of more calories can be good for speeding your metabolism back up a bit, and then you'll start losing again when you decrease your calories.0 -
I over did it on Christmas, but I already planned on it! Having two families to see I ate twice! I'm going to take this as more motivation to keep on track. Plus I can't say I miss the feeling of overeating and bloated and blah blah. Good luck to you all in the new year!!0

Yay!!!!
I didn't have seconds (well, i went back for more stuffed jalapenos...lol) but my grandmother made her trademark banana cobbler.....and you just don't say no to a big heaping plate of that! LOL0 -
I gained back my 2 lbs too... oh well.. back on track now!0

To say that I overdid it on both Christmas Eve AND Christmas would be an understatement haha, but the truth is, I enjoyed every minute of it. I feel like I deserved it too after working so hard to eat healthier and to exercise.
Plus, 'tis the season! :P And now it's time to get back on track!0 -
Oh I way..... over did it from Wed - Sun but now I am done. and I ate enough salt to gain oh ummmmmmm 6 lbs! Enough!
I am a different person than I was a year or even 2 ago.0 -

You aren't the only one I'm sure, lol. Beating yourself up over it is counterproductive... but it IS time to get 'back to business'.0 -
I ate so much... I still feel sick
How do I get back on track?!0 -
I've been slipping cause of the Christmas Cookies - can't wait till they are gone! I dd better today for exercise - I haven't been doing very well on that , either.
I don't want to wait till the new year ---- I want to get back on track now.
When it is a new day - start it out right! You can do it and so can I. Don't give up~!0 -

Very true. Calorie cycling can be beneficial. The trick is to not let two days turn into a week or two : )0 -

Step one: decide you want to get back on track.
Step two: don't get stressed.
We'll cheer you on
I was baaaaaad last week. Gained back 3 lbs. Ouch! But my friends are such wonderful cooks! And the cookies! Ohhhh the cookies...
Now I'm back on track. My first achievent was to turn down the piece of peppermint bark my son offered me this morning. (I love that stuff!!) I also have my 1.5L water bottle filled and ready to go. I may even go for a walk before my shop opens.
My goal was to get under 200 lbs by the beginning of the year. I have 4.5 lbs to go. (As opposed to the 1.5 lbs last week *sniffle*)
Cue up the Rocky theme!!0 -

Ditto!! I'm back at work today, and frankly glad to be back to some sort of routine. Packed yogurt and a bunch of fruits. Drinking my water. :drinker: Nothing I can do about the last 2 (or 20) days, but I can pick up my healthy habits once again. :bigsmile:0 -
I'm busy meditating myself out of self-anger over the holiday weekend. The truth is I did waaayyy better than I have at holidays in the past. I never ate to the point of discomfort... but I was grazing on candy for basically 2 days straight.
But everyday is a new day and an opportunity to start over.
I was doing great before the weekend, I can do better from here on out.
I think it's important to remember not to be too hard on yourself for a rough couple of days. Weightloss is a process that works best with a good attitude. Feeling guilty only encourages me to continue bad habits. Positive attitude for a positive life!0
