What do you think when you see a ripped female?

I would commit a crime to have a body like Jillian.
   Thanks for the laugh. I like her body, too. I don't think she is "too" ripped at all- but of course, that's just my opinion.
I personally like the "sporty", toned look (but I certainly wouldn't call this "ripped"):

I'm glad someone pointed out the fake boobs - no way can you have that little body fat elsewhere and still keep a perfect set of breasts!! I have discovered this myself.... my body fat is low and my boob have all but vanished. You can't bloody win!!
I reckon if I didn't have stretched (and thus looser) skin over my tummy then I reckon I'd have a 6 pack. Would LOVE to see it, just to know that I've managed it! My husband jokes that I have 'macho arms' after a pic of me holding my youngest made my biceps look huge! But I don't think they look muscular unless they are contracted like that.
'Ripped' to me means seeing a 6 pack..... but agreed, not a body builder! Toned muscle, not excess muscle.0 -
For what it's worth I am attracted to women that project confidence in themselves. A beautiful woman will turn my head; a confident woman will keep my attention.0

RoadDog always has the perfect answer.0 -
I find that bodyrock girl far to skinny for me. if I had to pick, I'd say someone like former (1 season) trainer from TBL (Kim Lyons) is a good size. Great muscle tone, not to huge, not a stick figure either though, can see muscle definition but it's not popping out at you like some sort of challenge.

This is funny because my coworkers and I were talking about this. So "ripped"...does that mean
That is Jennifer Reece. Or how about Michele Levesque?
Just looking for that line.
If these ladies are ripped, then this is my goal. They still have some curves and sex appeal and they definately don't look like men.
I wouldn't consider Jillian riped. She is in shape.
See my opinion is that the girl in this pic is too ripped but thats just my opinion. She looks every healthy! lol0 -
sexy. I love a warrior woman.0

I think the bodyrock girl looks weird. Maybe it's the angle - her body is okay, kind of too skinny/scrawny for her muscle definition and her boobs look fake.
I think Jillian is toned, but she definitely has a visible stomach pooch if you look hard enough...:glasses:0 -
I wish I was ripped! Ava Cowan is my idol. If you google her, you will find her Gaspari Nutrition ads and there is one where she is looking down at her abs......I have that as my desktop on my laptop because I find that so sexy. My husband and son think I'm a bit weird but they don't mind looking at her too0

I think toned, visible muscles look amazing...but female body builders scare the poop outta me!!! LOL:laugh:0

The girl from bodyrock is really pretty in the face, and I love her abs and legs, but don't love her arms (if it were MY body). To me, her biceps are tiny, they look like pencils. I'd personally want a little bit bigger biceps.
I have always thought the models in muscle and fitness hers magazine have the ideal body (for me). Muscular and toned, but not over the top. But if people think Jillian is too muscley, you wouldn't like these models. Just go to muscleandfitnesshers.com I don't know that I'd want the 6 or 8 pack abs, or just 2 long lean muscles along the sides. Who knows if my body would even do that?
I have to agree. To me the girl from bodyrock looks skinny...not ripped.0 -
This is the body i want... This is the girl from bodyrock and i dont think she is too ripped!!!!
Yes! Me too! Except I have no boobs.0 -
You can buy them, like she did.0

I want to be skinny toned. I consider the bodyrock girl to be ripped- look at those abs!! I would kill for her body and boobs. Another body role model of mine is not as ripped but sexy toned:
I think of Jillian as toned as well, but maybe her muscles are too big for the poster who said she's too ripped. To me, there is a difference between ripped (low body fat) and muscularity.0 -
I dont like skinny and ripped. I like curving toned women. And Roaddog you are dead on about confidence. If she is not confident about her looks the sex will be the equivalent of having a Porsche but cant drive it.
My $.02.0 -
it depends, for example. Jillian Michaels is too ripped, i dont really find her attractive, but semi-ripped can definitely be attractive0

I think short of the rough voice and square jaw muscularity anything up to bodybuilders is gorgeous. It's like walking art to me. I don't like skinny and lanky. In my opinion, anyone can be thin, but not everyone can be ripped. You also have to remember that when you see photos of a rock solid, cut woman it was probably taken at a photoshoot or contest and isn't maintained year round. They also cut water to bring out vascularity. Most of the time all these women you see in magazines will diet for a few weeks to tighten up for their photo op.0

Nice definition in your back. You have obviously been working hard0 -

I love the bodybuilder look! Unfortunately, unless you have a sponsor and can train full-time, most of us can't achieve that look. Actually, this whole discussion brings up a point I was recently debating with a friend. I lament the sorry state of women's boodybuilding right now. Love it or hate it, it used to be about the musculature and definition, just like the men.
Then, the "industry" decided that the women's meets weren't bringing enough ticket revenues, so they've gone to this ridiculous "fitness" crap, where they've taken perfectly good bodybuilders and turned them into cheerleading gymnasts with grossly oversized breast implants and teams of "stylists" for hair, makeup, and picking just the right posing suit. They've even limited the types of poses the women can do. They're going for a "softer", more feminine look that doesnt offend people too much. Give me a break.
Now, the meets are starting to look like glorified wet T-shirt contests, with the addition of "figure" and bikini model categories, just in case you didn't get enough T&A from the "fitness" meet. I don't know a single self-respecting bodybuilder who even wants to appear in the same arena with these bimbos.0
