  • Hi all,
Sorry I let myself enter zombie land. I been doing alot of reflecting this last week and find myself none to happy about certain aspects of life. So as I dig myself out of the dumps once again I am trying to reflect on the good. I have been on this web site now 2 years. I looked back at all my previous enyries and saw that I am capable of losing the weight but seem to be uncapable of keeping it off. So as of today I start at 258 which is actually one pound heaverier than I was when I started 2 years ago. So goal are:
    To do challges
    be faithful on food diary
Get some form of exercise every day
    Keeping it simple
    Happy New Year :drinker:

    Hi ladies.
been tough for me... very tough... I'm tired of being all to everyone and then some. Been totally unconcerned about me. Didn't care if ate 24 pieces of chocolate.

Yesterday, I hit such a low. Low self esteem, depression, anger, denial.... u name the negative emotion, I had it.
Due to the custody battle, the legal fees are kicking my *kitten* - which puts me in a very unpleasant financial situation.

On NYE, we where invited to a party. At first, I declined due to his health. Then after a nap, he decides let's go. Due to his pain & difficulty walking, I felt I spendt the evening taking care of his food/beverage needs. I wasn't very happy at the party felt other guests had the "poor Barb" mindset. Instead of happy for fresh start, I felt soo bad.

I should be excited for my Ladies only wine tasting party in two weeks. Not really excited. Should be excited about Vegas ... maybe once I get tax refund... then if he's bad, who will care for him....feel guilty about going, heart aches if I stay.

Folks have offered to help me but I refuse thinking I can't take advantage of that. Plus, what I need done is the house improvements Dave say he would do. So, I feel very uncomfortable saying, yeah, I want my bathroom & bedroom repainted - mind doing that? Or the house could use a good scrubbing -- could you do that? Then I feel like a baby if I said, I really could use shoulder to cry on...you available. Or mind staying w/Dave while I go out?

So I start 2011 in tears.... doesnt' help when I realize my work fitness test is in May. And If feel pressured to make the tape measurement.

Barb, my dear friend...go ahead and cry..it is ok and you may feel better. I wish I was there to give you a hug, and many more. It is easy to understand why you feel this way. A lot on your plate right now...overflowing. Many circumstances you have no control over...God is truly testing you. I am so glad you vented here..we are concerned and will listen, always. Is there someone you can talk to in person...someone you can reach out to? I'm not sure how I would handle your situation, but I do know you will get thru this and in the end be stronger...I know this for sure. When that will be I don't know, keep with taking one day at a time, and be patient ( which you already are ), and yes, take some time for **you**..even if it's only 5 minutes. And, if people are offering to help, take it! You would do the same for them. If not, ask. Most people are willing to help, but they don't know how bad we are feeling b/c we don't say. I know it will make you feel better and they will be glad to have helped you. It's a win-win situation. Financial circumstances have bummed me a lot in life. They put a cramp in our lifestyle. If our trip to LV doesn't happen, then so be it. There will be other opportunities. You do what you gotta do, and we will be right there with you. I know you are hurting and a ball of stress.....you can call me if you want to...or please, reach out to someone. ((hugs)) love you:heart:

    Well Happy New Year Pepper's,
I am sorry everyone for not logging in the last couple of days. I have not been feeling well and getting ready for tax season to start.

Kelly I could not wait to get to work so I could tell I wanted to weigh myself for the new year and move on from that. Well to my suprise I did not gain a single pound since Thanks Giving. I am 193 pounds and feel really good about starting this year can you feel all the good Pepper vibes. I can.

Barb I am so sorry you are having a tough time. That much stress takes a lot of energy. Take a deep breath and just like you always tell us. Take one day at a time. you, sign on any time you want to vent or just need to take, you have my number. :flowerforyou:

Vita nice to hear from you. We all can rock this year. I have about 35 more to go so we can do this.

Jacque start slow and work your way that is all I can do. I will try but I am working on getting my calories down first then work in some exercise. It will be tough once I start the second job this one is mon - fri 830 - 500 and I work the other nights and week ends only until April, but it gets tough. This year I need to figure lunches and dinner out because I will be going from one job to the next so I am going to work it slow and see how it goes.

I am up for that water challenge, I have not been drinking even two glasses lately so it is on.

Well Come Kizzy I dont think we have met but I look forward to being there for all of the Pepper's the more the merrier.

Well back to work will check back after lunch hoping for a little walk.

    Kizzy-welcome!!!
Barb-Sorry, I been crying since New years myself to a point of almost having an anxxity attack yesterday. New years just really made me look at all the failure instead of the good.
Kelly-thanks for checkin in on me!
Sindy- Get enought sleep! that is the only way you are going to survive the Tax season
    Vits- Hive free thoughts!

Jacque - I felt I had to take my anti-anxiety med on the first. Been prescribed well over 14 months ago -- took maybe 2 doses.

    Kizzy - welcome.

Sindy - awesome for not gaining during the holiday season.

Vita - I agree - no hives for you this year!

Kelly - thanks for your listening ear. :)

HI Friends!! Let's all take charge of our health this year....each and everyone of us deserves to be healthy and happy!!

Been working on putting Xmas away. A good part of it is done, but still some left. Oldest son wants to go to Pizza Ranch for supper, which is out of town for us, and pretty sure dh will not wanna go since he's been working OT for a week now. Maybe we can go for lunch tomorrow. Yesterday and today have not been the greatest for eating, but trying to do better as the day goes on.

Kizzy ~ welcome to our little support group...glad to have you along! Your nutritional and exercise goals look great! Yay!! I need to be doing that again...it does help!

Jacque ~ hold your head high hon. try to stay focused and think positively. be true to **you** take care...

Cindy ~ hope you get to feeling better soon...I know what a busy time of year this is for you. I hope it's not too challenging for you and that it is manageable. Kudos girl! No holiday wt gain!! Nice!

Let's have a great FIRST New Year's week and rock the scale Friday! We can do this!

Jacque dont look back it just makes it worse, I feel so bad all my Pepper's seam very stressed starting off the new year. We will get this and when we do we can then look back at all the fight we put into it. But for now lets move forward and dont stress on what we did last year.

I have screwed up big time this year with my finances, weight, and exercise, putting everyone else first, well not this year me first I have to fix everything and the more I went over it the more it stressed me out ended up with headaches, sick to my tummy, reflux and major depression. I am no longer going to do that to myself. I am learning to ask for help when I need it and not stressing over the things I cant fix right off. I will take them one at a time and fix it. We are all capable women and can do anything we set our minds too no matter how tough it gets. We need to stick together and work on one thing and one day at a time.

:flowerforyou:  we can do this. Will check back later. Take some time for you

Oh, Sindy -- guess what, I was the same way this year.... see we truly have more in common that we thought.

Well ladies, I did only a 15 min walk at work fitness program. The massage therapist stopped me for a "What is happening w/you Barb?" chat. She's seeing my fb posts and knew something was up w/my life. So....
I did walk the dog today..... I did not purchase the christmas candy at 75% off.

    Trying ... trying.. trying....

    Morning Pepper's,
Well got a walk in because the subway was having issues and walked from 3 stations away. It was not that bad and felt great

Barb I knew we had a lot in common and I see the same with all the other Pepper's too. that is why we all stick together. We will learn together.

It all comes down to one question we should be asking ourselves everyday. Who comes first? and to answer that question with I AM. I am asking myself that everyday to remind me what would everyone do if there was no me because I got so sick or stressed that I could not help anyone anymore. We need to help ourselves, it does not mean we cant help others but when it comes down to it we need to be healthy, so we can be there to help others.

Lets keep going and work one day at a time. Remind ourselves to do one thing for me a day. I would like to make that a challenge and let us know everyday what you did for You Today. Let me know what you think. Will check back soon.

morning, how's everyone doing today? with your water intake? I have been doing ok, at or just under 8 a day, but really would like around 10-12.

Cindy, I really like your theory. Another one I try to remember is, 'would I treat my family the way I am treating myself?' NO. So, yes, we need to realize each and every day that we matter, that we ARE important, and put ME first. It's that simple....ha, well, it looks that way. But seriously, it kinda all starts with us. If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Things I want to get back into routine again are.....
    1. logging my food
    2. exercise AND setting goals...esp. our "walk/jog miles to pepper challenge". I know I am capable of 3-4 day/15-20 wk! Really!

So, my goal for ME today is to get on my treadmill at least 30 minutes! Let's bring it team!

OMG!!!(goodnees)I logged for the first time in I don't know how long and it's a wonder I din't put on 50 lbs this year. I was over at least 600 calories. Boy have I been kidding myself of how good I thought I was doing! So Goal number #1 log food always!!!
Did worse yesterday on the wateer but is def going to try and work on that today. Dinner was great but after dinner killed me. My son made cinnimon rolls and of course i had 2!
Kelly - I def want to start the walking to peppers again. so plan tonight to walk when I get home
Sindy love the idea of posting what we did for ourselves Def going to do that too.
    Goals for today:
    water
    walk
    treat for self
    log all foods!!!

    Hey all,
Been doing great on the water doing at least 54 oz a day. Didnt log yesterday but did ok. I was craving apple pie and ice cream and told my baking friend and just like she always does she made it and came with a heaping helping for me  it was so good but i knew it was so bad. back on track and rolling ! went to practice lastnight and it was good tonight is endurance and I know it is gonna make me sore. Hives going crazy today my right hand has been really swollen since lastnight because of them , and still is:( ohwell today is a new day. ITS cold here 29 degrees this morning i believe:heart::drinker:
    Goals today:
    WALK
    WATER
    Me time:)
Barb~ YOu are so stretched thin my friend you need to let others help you out or you will dwindle away day by day.:smooched: HUG
    Kizzy~WELCOME:drinker:
Keep making little day to day goals and try to knock them down:)

First full day back at work (yesterday was a half day). Feels like the day is dragging.......

    Did for me.... (so far)
**Went out to lunch w/a friend and HE paid. Yeah, cuz I had $6 on me.

**Was happy Burger king gave me the toy in the chicken tenders kids meal & the Burger King bobble head toy. Purchase of the whopper meal wasn't needed for the bobble head! I keep the toys at my desk for children of employees/retirees that come into the office. (I don't play with the toys at work - seriously...)

**Vented to my lunch date & asked him to check/fill the air pressure in my tires. Once had my car at his automotive shop, his mechanics were ooohh & aahhh over my ride. That's a great feeling.

**Vented to a work counterpart in NY who I've done business trips with (so we know each other professionally & personally).

**Printed out the wine comment cards & game answer sheets for my Ladies Wine Tasting Party. Yes, I did something for me on work time.

This morning I did feel really guilty. When I arrived at the guard gate at work I realized I didn't give Dave his pain meds before leaving the house. SInce he has 6 different pain med prescriptions, he's asked me to administer/monitior the pain meds. I felt selfish that I went to work w/o giving him something to ease his pain.

Only 1 hour & 15 minutes left of my work day.

I like what I am hearing Pepper's, having trouble with the water thing. If I drink my water I am in the bathroom every 5 mins or on the commute home it is really tough not sure how to get around that. Working on it. Doing very good with food today and did well last night. Still craving the sweets but not caving.

Goals (this week) doing mini goals and working my way up
drink water when I get to work and stop about 3pm so commute home dont kill me
    eating lots of veggies
try to walk 3 times a week for at least 20 mins.
still thinking on what I want to do for me today

Well back to work, will check back later

hope you're all having a good Tues eve....well, sons and I went for lunch..Pizza Ranch. I have NO idea how many calories I ate, but didn't leave miserable, so that is a plus. At 64 oz for water...and it's really too late to force more. I didn't get on my treadmill, but I did watch the BL and walked in place and jump rope for 30 min. Wow, if anyone wants something to do to raise your heart rate, just pretend you are jumping rope...no rope necessary. I think I may have missed some of the show....I never did see the new trainers or their weigh in.

Yay...back in the bus tomorrow. my shoulder has seemed better today. anxious to see Dr the 13th. see you all tomorrow.:flowerforyou:

Good morning all. Well I logged all food yesterday and was over but so much less than day before so that a major improvement. Did not walk yesterday it rained all night after work. So will def try to walk today.
Kelly BL did weight in at the biginng on all but the new people have not been reveiled yet. The people that went with the newbies have a 4 week imunity so I bet we won't see anything of them until four weeks is up. They only showed the people who worked with B&J. This should be interesting.
Doing good with water. Put my pedometer on today so...
    Goals:
    log food
    water
    walk
    Me time:
watch some TV or read new book, or maybe do some window shopping. Going out Friday and mama needs a new shrit to go with her jeans LOL

Ok, got "normal" CAT scan reading for Dave. That's a plus. Thus my mood has been uplifted. So much that I promptly dropped $22.75 at a thrift store purchasing stuff for my party (wine glasses, wine glass charms, etc).

I did walk the dog this morning. Didn't last night.. .and son has basketball game at 815pm - away so adding my commute to the other school plus the game time, it will be late when I get home.

Gotta a rush project to do for work.
