I always go way over my fiber. I just don't know how people don't not go over!!
I mean by a third easy.

What's "over"?0

I have a hard time hitting mine, but I also have issues hitting protein as well. Carbs and I are pals though. :grumble:0

An excess of fiber can interfere with your Calcium, Zinc, Copper and Iron absorption. Also you can get stomach aches from bloating. Nothing is good in excess, that's what the word "excess" stands for. :P0

I learned about the GI pain when I went on a broccoli bender two years or so ago. I had a stomach ache that just wouldn't quit, for weeks on end. -.-0 -
40 is my usual fiber number because of medical issues. Most people couldn't eat that much because it causes stomach pain/bloating. I have the pain if I don't eat pretty close to the 40.0

I know that feel... It can be annoying
The problem is everyone everywhere keeps saying that one should eat plenty of fiber to have a healthy lifestyle. And it's partly true, if you interpret "plenty" as more than practically zero, which is usually (I think) the amount non-dieters take. But when you overdo it on the fiber it definitely does not feel so nice0 -

You're right. I was just assuming a typical limit of around 30 grams of fiber.0 -
Mine says 21 and I did 34 today.0

Fiber is more of a minimum, although you wouldn't want to go totally nuts or increase it too rapidly. Your stomach will tell you if you do.0

I have a higher fiber macro, 35-40 is what was recommended to me by my GI due to having diverticular disease. Lots of things have carbs but are not packed with fiber, and that is my downfall. I supplement with psyllium husk because for me it's more about healthy bowels and avoiding colon resectioning.0
