The best pb&j sammich EVER!

So simple! Here are the ingredients, and you can NOT stray from them or you just ruin it. No arguing, dammit!

2 slices of Martin's potato bread (whole wheat is acceptable)
2 T Trader Joe's natural peanut butter (because perfect)
2 T Welch's grape jelly

Put your two pieces of bread on your plate (separate them first), then using a knife you spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread, and the jelly on the other. Put the two together, and voila! Make sure the jelly is on the bottom slice. Don't ask questions. You can add a glass of cold milk, too. Or whatever you like, really. I'm easy like that. If you don't have Martin's available in your area, then I will shed a tear for you.

I have been looking for a PB&J recipe for years. My mom used to make the best PB&J. Oh, how I have longed to taste them again!

Byn, you made me think of this, even though it's not raspberries.

ETA that I have just recently expanded my jelly horizons and used elderberry and strawberry recently, not raspberry yet.

Well dear, I left my PBJ/Concord Grape Jelly school hood sandwich life behind me. I'm all grown up and converted to Raspberry Jam, preferably homemade. So that's PBRJ to you!

Just peanut butter for me thanks... unless you substitute the jelly with a dark chocolate spread (or nutella if you wish, but that's not my choice)...

Oh poop! I forgot to say creamy or crunchy! I knew I'd screw it up. Either, really. I was always a creamy girl, but I bought crunchy by accident once and it was good! But orange marmalade? Hmmmmm, maybe I'll go to my mom's and make one at her house and check that out.

    we can't be friends anymore.

RASPBERRY or BLACKBERRY are the only acceptable jellies for PB&J

Sorry, I'm a little unclear on how much salt to use.

The salt is already in the peanut butter. :drinker:
  • I gotta say: It's actually not even peanut butter. It's the ABM - Justin's Almond Butter and Smucker's Simply Fruit Orange Marmalade.

    Pregnant?

ETA: For some reason, I immediately pictured Sandra Dee, ordering "Mixed pickles and strawberries, please." Was very cute, because her mom had ordered the exact same thing when SHE had been pregnant, so the cat was out of the bag.
