I plateaued for a while. For some reason this last week, my body decided to let go of what it was holding onto. At the end of the day, if calories eaten is less than calories burned we'll lose weight. I kept telling myself that but when it wouldn't come off even though I was meeting my net calorie targets, I got really discouraged. Of course after this big week I was able to raid the boxes in my closet and got to donate my larger clothes and can fit into a lot of my older, smaller clothes so that renewed my motivation at just the right time.
BlueOlwz Great Job!!! We are glad U R back. I love what U said abt being at a place where U plateaued. I hope I can remember that when my turn comes and I am sure it will.0 -

I was in the 148 range until the weekend hit. Had a big dinner out last night and my muscles are so sore from P90X, so I'm sure that has caused a gain. Hubby is out of town this week which means lots of working out and salad for dinner every night.0 -

When no one responded to my last post, I wasn't sure if I should make the new chart or not, but since I've gotten at least one official "you're forgiven", I'll make one up this week. (Thanks Mary (msh0530!))
On a side note - I started MFP in the fall of 2009 at 227 pounds - I am officially 50 lbs down from that!! (My highest weight is probably closer to 230/235, summer of 2009.) I wish it hadn't taken me quite so long - most of 2010 was spent going up and down, but I did end up with a small loss that year and am definitely back on track now. I still have a ways to go, but am excited at hitting this milestone. :drinker:
FYI - for those wondering, I'm vertically challenged, only 5' 3.5", so that's why my goal weight is 130. I know that's low for a guy - but I'm short for a guy! :laugh: I get asked about my goal frequently.0 -
Well,I'm changing my end of challenge goal from 137 lbs to 135 lbs. I have an appointment for a tummy tuck consultation set for April 26th and it is my fervent desire to lose 10 lbs by then. I'm not going to actually have the surgery until June, but I really want to be back at my pre-pregnancy (2008 and 2005) weight in time for the consultation. So the goal is to lose on average around 1.5 lbs a week (which is about what I've been doing). :bigsmile:0

@Sugar_Apple - don't feel discouraged. it might be water weight, or muscles, etc. let's see what your weight will be next WI! good job on working out so much!

I'm super happy with this, I exercised some major self constraint at my daughters birthday this past weekend....I make a pretty darn good cake! And that has proven to be my downfall in the past...not this time!!! I've managed to go cold turkey and stay away from pop for two weeks, not even a drop!!! And I've been drinking only water for the past 10 days, actually feels great!!! With TOM visiting, I still managed to drop 2.5lbs!!!!

I have officially given up my scale for lent. So now till Easter I will only be concentrating on my food, and my workouts. Just me. Not the number. I need to get back into the focus of ME. Finally got rid if the water weight!! If it wasn't gone by today, I was logging a gain!! No gain here!! Woot woot!! This also means I've officially gotten rid of 50lbs!!! Aka a small hay bale or a medium/large dog or a small child or even a bag on concrete!! I've been waiting for this day for a long time!! GOOD BYE 50!!!! :drinker:

Here's a new chart. I didn't have time to go back and log the weights for all the weeks I missed, so I only did the last 2 weeks (so I could calculate the gain/loss for the last week and for the challenge-to-date. Anyone who didn't update either this week or last week was hidden from the chart. I can easily un-hide anyone who didn't really go away - so don't think you're permanently removed from the chart! If you're not on there this week and you check-in with us for next week, I'll just add you back in - no problem. :drinker: I just don't know who all is still around and who isn't, and figured this was the easiest way.
