How do you make it work to run with another person while doing c25k? I've wondered about the logistics of that...but I can be a bit savant-like in these things...

If I'm running with my friend, I'll start the app but not use any headphones so we can both hear the interval changes. Its a little muffled with my arm band holder but we can hear it pretty well. I think sheuses Map My Run to track hers info but the intervals are from my app.

I'm loving all the responses. I'm definitely going to check that bpm site to see what they have.

I also heard some older songs today that I'm going to put on my playlist, Long Train Running and Sweet Dreams are Made of This.

OK this will out me as a major dork, but I actually listen to podcasts on long runs. Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, Radiolab, etc. It's like having a very interesting or funny running partner there talking to you the whole time. Love it!

ha ha I've been getting bored with music while running and was thinking of doing this! I think I'll try it now  Plus my husband hates when I have NPR on in the house, so I might as well listen while I run.
Haha nice! You should try it. It doesn't pump you up obviously, but it does keep your attention focused.

If it's any consolation, I've been know to listen to sermons while working out.
And THAT sounds like torture. (No offense, lol)

Meh. None taken. I like it, that's all that matters.

For sure, high-five to whatever gets you through a workout!
  • I see some people are listening to Pandora while working out in the gym.

Please forgive me for asking this dumb question? Are you in the states? Does anyone know if we have Pandora or something similar in Canada. Ive heard of Songza here in Canada but I want Pandora:(

I listen to a wide array of music, but usually like energetic stuff like hip hop and funk for working out.
I also listen to podcasts if I'm on the elliptical. This American Life, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, Dan Savage's "Savage Love", and To the Best of Our Knowledge.

If you don't know Songza, I like it better than Pandora.

    Girl power all the way.

My absolute favourite song to run to is Run The World (Girls) by Beyonce.
