This thread made me laugh. My history school teacher had an argument with me when I corrected her on this. She exclaimed that loose and lose were the same. People of the world, it is not.
It is quite annoying to see 'loose' on this site when you know it is meant to be 'lose', especially as it is used SO much. Maybe we should have an auto-correction tool for this common problem.
