Overcome the Craving!!

So far...I would say eating the dark meat and skin from a rotisserie chicken that I bought from Walmart. Lol! I love dark meat... So picked out all the white meat, gave the dark meat to my little ones and threw the rest away before I caved in.0

Warm apple crisp. My students made it in their foods class, and they offered me some. I'm super hungry and lunch isn't for another two hours, but I'm going to wait. Just drinking water and staying distracted. Papa Murphy's De-lite cheese pizza tonight is what's keeping me on target. If I go off my food plan for today, I won't get the pizza. And I've been SO GOOD the past week. Eventually, it gets easier. I know this. The first couple of weeks are always the worst. I have 6 weeks to take off 12 pounds to fit into a dress for a wedding. Six weeks after that, I want to be down to goal.0

was craving chocolate and (so far) have avoided the candy machine and the bowl of hershey's kisses in our break area. Grabbed a piece of sugar free gum and water to get me by until dinner. Time goes by slow when you're hungry (or think you are)!0

Again with the Panera bagels at work this morning....these people are killing me. This time there's an entire smorgasbord of breakfast cakes too. UGH0

I am a waitress at the Cotton Patch Cafe, for those of you who don't know, this restaurant boasts that they specialize in "Texas style cooking" yeah, you can only imagine... chicken friend steak, white gravy, buttery rolls, sweet corn bread, friend chicken tenders etc. for the past 2 weeks I have passed up having lunch at work and instead I have been preparing and eating better foods at home. You guys have no idea how hard it is for me to walk out the door past all my co-workers eating burgers and french fries!
I've been feeling proud of this & I'm glad I have people to share it with!0 -
Great Job!
I totally overcame the breadstick that was shiny with butter and garlic that came with my salad today. I actually ordered my salad without the breadstick but the waitress seriously asked the other girls at my table if they wanted my breadstick and that she would just bring it for one of them. REALLY??? When the salad came the breadstick was on the side and I quietly put it in a napkin in the center of the table for one of the girls to have. I never looked at it again! I was so proud of myself!!
last night my boyfriend and I went out to dinner & my server kept trying to push more sour cream/ guacamole/ sweet tea on me

my mom made cherry pie the other day & i was going nuts trying to prepare myself to avoid it... about 20 mins after it came out of the oven, my dad brought home a chocolate cake. ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDIN ME!?! lol... but i didn't eat it! ...actually, i literally had 1 maraschino cherry from the pie & counted it as like 30 calories b/c i was so paranoid... but then i walked out of that kitchen & went to the gym! the cake & pie lasted another day & 1/2 or so in the house, but thankfully the rest of my family ate it & not me! :laugh:0

i sat in a mcdonalds restaurant with my mum, dad & brother yesterday while they all ate big mac meals and didn't touch a single fry! instead, i waited until i got home to have chicken and vegetables!
so tempting but so proud of myself for not giving in!
well done to everyone else, too!0 -
This morning when i got to work, they had bagels & my ultimate weakness, Krispy Kreme doughnuts....I so wanted to go eat 5 or 6, but I didn't - I pulled out the yogurt & granola & went on with my day. I still can't believe that I said no.0

I'm the food manager for a Senior center. Every day we have donated cookies, cakes, and pies that are cut up to eat with morning coffee. I have not had any since 1/1! They are located 25 ft outside my office door .0

This morning I packaged up all of the leftover wrapped candies from the holidays, such as Lindor Truffles, Ghirardelli chocolate, and almond roca. I gave it to my husband to take to work and share with his coworkers. I'm so happy to have that stuff out of my house!0

I'm sooo craving a glass of wine! Been so good all week - but I know I shouldn't!!0

i was digging through a hidden part of my purse and found 4 individually wrapped chocolates that I'm not sure why they're in my purse or when they were put there, but I want one so badly. I keep telling myself that I'm not hungry (I'm not) and that I don't know how old the chocolate is so I shouldn't eat.
Stupid thing is that I can't bring myself to toss them in the garbage. I have my almonds for later, so hopefully that'll keep me from eating potentially rotten chocolate.0 -
I turned down jam and custard doughnuts!!0

I have the same problem when co-workers bring in birthday doughnuts. They are from a local bakery and are the best glazed doughnuts in the world. Yes, the entire world!
But since it isn't very often, I do partake in a little. I limit myself and only have one in the morning and maybe a couple of the hole-bites, then I make sure to keep the rest of the day and exercise in check.
But I think that is progress, where as if I didn't pay attention, I could easily eat 3 or 4 in one day.
I don't want to totally say no, that makes me feel like I'm depriving myself. :noway:0 -
I did not partake of the carne asada tacos we made at work yesterday! very hard since the aroma was coming into my work trailer.0

I am trying really hard not to drink any alcohol from Sunday to Friday and this week I succeeded. I don't a lot during the week, but when my husband cracks a beer it was tough to drink my water, but I did!! Also normally in Fridays I have a bacon egg cheese english muffin and today I decided to have cheerios instead. It was tough but I felt mush better about it!!
Congratulations to everyone in the saying no victories0 -
I hurt my leg today and my husband wanted to cheer me up and offered to buy me some marshmallows (which I love). I said thank you but no thank you. He said he thought they would be OK because they're low in fat and that he was going to go get them for me, but I held firm and told him there's still calories in them and they still have to be accounted for!!
Also he has two huge tins of sweets left over from Christmas and he keeps them in our bedroom - chocolate is my downfall. But I haven't touched these ones at all! I'm very proud of myself :bigsmile:0 -
I just started on here this past week and really hit the gym hard so far. However, I was invited out to dinner twice this week to two of my favorite restaurants and politely declined. What did I do instead? Went to the gym! I turned down Hooters wings and beer while watching basketball for the gym and watching basketball, this is a big deal for me!0

I also work in the food industry and it can be very hard. I try to take my breakfast and lunch, so i don't eat at work.0

I'm feeling pre-menstrual and my usual chocolate cravings are kicking in. I had some calories left to play with and I was so tempted just to blow them all (and lets be honest probably more) by digging into a tin of chocolates and 'logging them' But I realised I would only be cheating myself after doing so well for the past 3 weeks, so I had a glass of orange juice and enjoyed the sweetness of that and then allowed myself ONE chocolate and then put the tin away. That used my calorie allowance up and now because I have no calories left, for some reason mentally I don't want to eat any more chocolate. When I had calories to spare I just wanted to go crazy and I just know I wouldn't have been able to reign myself in, but now I've logged for the day I 'know I'm done' and I feel like the craving isn't going to win.0
