Same old Goals...but a new commitment!!!!

Ok...so here are my goals and today I am recommiting!!! I am lacing up my tennies & heading to the gym! Who is with me? Lets hear those GOALS!!!! :happy:
Here is my weekly goals:
1. Drink no less than 64 oz. of water each day (7 pts per week)
2. Eat no more than 2000 calories per day & log it in www.myfitnesspal.com(7 pts per week)
3. Exercise no less than 5 days per week (5 pts per week + 1 pt bonus for a 6th day!)
4. NO CAFFINE (7 points per week)

I try to do these things also, except the caffeine thing, if I don't get a little I am useless in the mornings.

I'm definately with you! But, like sgtinvincible said, I have to have my caffeine. I get major headaches without it .
I've been struggling with my eating habits on the weekends. It's really holding me back! So I'm going to recommit and try my best to stick to it! I've been able to stick to working out about 5-6 times a week (Turbo Jam! :bigsmile: ) but I'm still not losing ANYTHING! Not even inches. So I think its my eating on the weekends. :sad:

I like your point system! Can I chime in with my goals this week?
1. Work out six days this week -- 6 POINTS PER WEEK
2. Burn 750+ calories per workout -- 6 POINTS, PLUS 1 BONUS POINT PER DAY IF OVER 900
3. Don't use high exercise calories as an excuse to eat bad food -- 12 POINTS (had do to 2 points per day as this is SO tough for me!)
4. Take a yoga class this week -- 2 POINTS
TOTAL GOAL: 26 POINTS0 -

Here goes my new lifestyle!
1. Work out 5 days/week - (1 pt/day) 5 points per week
2. Eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies at least 6 days a week- (1 pt/day) 6 points per week (extra 2 points if I do this 7 days per week)
3. Drink 8 glasses of water at least 5 days/ week - (2 pts/day because it's so hard for me!) 10 points per week (4 points per day for every day after 5)
4. Stay within calories on weekend- (REALLY REALLY REALLY hard for me, so I'm going to make it worth 5 points per day of weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)) - 15 points
Total points per week- 36 points
Reward for this week: Go take pics with my friend so I can track progress!0 -
I like the way you think! It is a great idea to post your goals to keep you on track. Here are mine for the week:
1. Keep my over sugared snacks in check. Just one a day.
2. Home makeover-spring cleaning time! Out with the old and lots of organization. This always makes me feel lighter!
3. Cardio 3 days this week. Strengthening 3 days this week.
4. Calorie goal per day 1440.0 -

I don't know if it's what everyone else is doing, but I am giving myself reward points if I do something the way I'm supposed to, for example if I exercise one day I get one point, but my goal for the week is 5 points for exercise. Then, at the end of the week if I've recieved all of my points then I will reward myself, otherwise I will start over the next week. Hope this helps. For me this is just something I'm using as an incentive to do better! :flowerforyou:0

Yeah...it's just easier for me to track my progress during the week! I wanna make a chart and keep my points on it. Yeah, if I meet my 26 pts. a week I get a GOOD-non-caloric reward! This week it's a Pedicure...YAY for SUMMER!!!!
P.s. I went to the gym and LOVED the elliptical. only burned 375 cal. so I am gonna do my turbo Jam this afternoon! Great goals guys..YAY!0 -
Oh, I see! So it's kind of just a thing that you judge yourself, there's no set point system or anything? That sounds like it could be helpful! Maybe I should give it a try! Thanks for the great idea! :bigsmile:0

Yesterday was GREAT for me too! Got 4 points, according to my little chart!
I'm putting on my tennies and am going for it again today! I want to burn 900 calories and, most importantly, eat healthy exercise calories.

Yesterday was so good! Thanks for posting this thread! I've really needed it! I got 4 points yesterday! Today is going really well too! I'm so excited to go to the gym after work, even though my body is aching from yesterday! It's the kind of pain that you know is worth it though! Good luck everyone! We can do this! :flowerforyou:

Today was great also! Got 4 points:
1 point for working out
1 point for burning 750 calories
2 points for yoga!

Welp, I got 3 points today. :ohwell: I was doing sooooo GREAT till about 20 minutes ago when I had a second helping of dinner. I was just craving a snack. :blushing: It WAS salad...but I still went over 250 cals. UGH!!! Nice job girls!!! Tomorrow...4 points...no questions about it!0 -
I did okay yesterday, except I didn't get to do Turbo Jam... I walked with my friend instead. It was nice to have company, but she doesn't walk fast enough for me!!! I felt like I did NOTHING. And not having a computer at my house to log my food in at night is such a pain! I didn't eat all my exercise calories because I had no idea how many I had left. :grumble: Well, today is a new day and I'M STARVING! :laugh: I can't wait to eat lunch. :bigsmile:0

Yesterday went well, I stayed within my cals and got my exercise and water in! Another 4 points for me! Today's going ok... I haven't got all of my water in yet, but I still have a while. I'm going to the gym right after work, I'm not going to get a full hour in, but I'll get a half hour then maybe I'll go for a walk tonight. My Veggies are in for the day as well! Hope everyone is doing well, Let me know if you need anything!

Good job everyone! Yesterday was really good! I even got together with my friends last night and didn't binge! I stayed within my cals for the day! I also got my water in (although it was 11 p.m. before I finished my last 4 glasses, but I did it!) I ate all of my fruits and veggies! Yay, another 4 points! This weekend is going to be hard though, because I never have counted cals on a weekend, but I'm determined to do it from now on! Wish me luck! and control over myself! I know we can do this! All of us! You all are great! :happy:0
