Okay...I'm going for it again this week! Here are my goals:
WORK OUT 5 TIMES -- 1 POINT EACH DAY / 5 TOTAL POINTS PER WEEK (workout = 400 cal)
YOGA OR PILATES 2 TIMES -- 1 POINT EACH DAY / 2 TOTAL POINTS PER WEEK
KEEP WITHIN MY CALORIES -- 2 POINTS PER DAY / 14 TOTAL POINTS PER WEEK
AVOID SWEETS 5 DAYS THIS WEEK -- 2 POINTS PER DAY / 10 TOTAL POINTS PER WEEK
****Going for: 31 POINTS****
Off to make my chart, then I'm lacing up my tennies.
Janelly...what's your story this week? And everybody else? I want to hear all about it!!!!0 -
 I didn't get my points! I don't think I went over my cals this weekend, but I just don't feel right about giving myself the points... I didn't eat healthy at all!
This week I'll do better!
New Goals:
1. Workout 4 days this week (1 pt/day) 2 pts extra per day over 4
2. Eat 5 Servings of fruits and veggies 4 days this week (1 pt/day) 2 pts extra per day over 4
3. Drink 8 glasses of water 5 days this week (2 pts/day)
4. Stay within calories and have them be healthy calories 1 day of the weekend (5 points)
Total for week: 23 points
Reward: Go take pics
I'm taking it a little slower this time to build my confidence in myself, then when I know I can do this I will make it a little bit harder. Thanks for all of your support! You all are truly inspiring! :happy:0 -
Ohhh...great goals Im_to_Be!
#4 is the stickler for me...urgh.0 -
Me too! I have always struggled with this, because I have nothing to do on the weekends! This weekend was especially hard because I let a man dictate how I feel about myself! Well, needless to say he didn't think as highly of me as he should have and I let it get me down. No more! I'm doing this for ME! I'm worth way more than he thinks and someday he's going to realize it! But, I just may not be around when that day comes! Sorry, I just had to vent!:blushing: I'm done and moving on!:happy:0
-
MOVE ON, sister!
"No one can ever make you feel inferior without your permission." A great quote by Eleanor Roosevelt.
At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that YOU believe in yourself! Everything and everyone else is just icing on the cake. Mmmm...cake...0 -
I wish I could explain the joy I get from my fresh new chart for this week!! Anyone else?
Yesterday was 5 points:
1 point for working out
2 points for keeping within my calories and keeping them healthy
2 points for not eating sweets!0 -
No luck for me yesterday, but today is going well! I'm going to the gym after work! I'm weighing in today too, so wish me luck!0
-
Oh girls...yesterday was BAD!!! 1 point!!! Bawhahahah..... Ok, so today is a NEW day and I am doing good so far. (just an FYI: this week is going to be VERY hard for me...my sisters bridal shower is at my house tonight, SIL graduation/celebration Thurs., garage sale & B-B-Q this weekend!) So needless to say that when things get busy my health goes to the wayside! I am gonna try and do my best though!
I am so LOVING my chart and I am so proud of you guys!!! I agree...#4 is tough! Hope this week is great for you guys...I'll get on and let you guys know how things are when I get the chane! Be good girls while I am gone...lol!

Im -- good luck with the weigh-in!
And Janelly -- GOOD LUCK with all of your activities!!!! I will be sending good thoughts your way!0 -
I haven't been doing very well. :grumble: I haven't done the point thing but my calories have been WAY off. :noway:
I exercised hard yesterday though, I was actually nauseous when I was done. I did my new Turbo Jam DVD--Total Body Blast, it's a ball workout, and it is 60 minutes (where I'm used to doing 30-40 minutes), and that ball is the devil!
That dang scale hasn't moved up or down, but I did lose another half inch from my waist (totalling an inch). So far it seems like that's the only place I lost anything.. My thighs just don't wanna move!
But anyway, I just thought I'd check in. I hope you all are having more luck with the calories than I am! :flowerforyou:0 -
Just checking in! I think I'm on track for this week so far. Need to come up with a little reward treat to give me some incentive!
Yesterday was a 6-pointer!
1 point for ballet/ yoga class
1 point for working out
2 points for keeping my calories healthy
2 points for skipping the sweets0 -
Ok, so lots of yummy food and all...but the best part was I got a TON of people asking me "you are looking great...what are you doing?" MFP of course! So that pumped me up and now I am off to do Turbo Jam...which I too LOVE BTW!!! i'LL BE BACK LATER FOR A real UPDATE!0
-
Janelly, that's fantastic!!! I love when people start noticing -- it is the best incentive in the world.
Yesterday was only a 3-pointer for me. I'm going to have to really stick with it if I want to get my 31 points this week! It might come down to the wire...a real nail-biter!
~ 1 point for working out
~ 2 points for skipping sweets
I couldn't reward myself the other 2 points because I went over my calories.0 -
Yesterday was a 3- point day for me too!
1 point for exercise
2 points for water
Good Luck Everyone!:flowerforyou:0 -
Uh oh...I already gave myself my reward treat!!!
CUTE new workout outfits from Lululemon AND a new lipgloss from Sephora!!!!
I better kick some serious booty this week so I make my 31 points. Don't want to have to return my amazing new tank top and drawstring pants. **sigh** I loooove Lululemon!
I'm pretty much on track for 5 points today:
1 point for working out
2 points for skipping the sweets
2 points for keeping under my calories
How's everybody else doing??0 -
Boo hoo! No gold stars for me this week. I kind of fell apart there at the end! And, even worse, I already bought my reward treat!!!! So now I REALLY need to reach my goal this week. I don't want to have to return my cute new Lululemon gear (also, not really possible since it's sweaty...lol).
Here is my new plan:
+ Work out every day (workout = 500 calories burned) -- 1 point per day (6 points per week)
+ Bonus points for over 750 calories -- 1 point per day (2 points per week)
+ Bonus points for over 900 calories -- 1 point per day (2 points per week)
+ Yoga, ballet or swimming -- 1 point per session (2 points per week)
+ Keep within my calories, keep them healthy -- 2 points per day (10 points per week)
*******TOTAL GOAL POINTS: 22********
Good luck, everyone! Who's with me?0 -
I'm with you! My goals are going to be a little smaller...I've really been having a hard time staying committed...I do good for the first day...maybe two, but then blow it. And I"ve only worked out a couple times in the 2 months I've been a member here....so My goals this week...
Stay within Calories with healthy food for 3 days (Extra points for each day over)
Work out at least every other day
Take dog for long walk on days not working out
Get up before 11. :laugh:0 -
Argh! :explode: I did bad this weekend, but I was really stressed (I know, not a good excuse, but the only one I have!). I bought a Nissan Xterra last November for way more than I should have, and with gas prices constantly on the rise I had reached a point where I was paying more for gas that for the actual car, not to mention the fact that the Xterra was losing about $1000.00 in value every month!:grumble: On Saturday, I decided to buy a new car and try to get as much out of the Xterra as I could. Well, needless to say I'm paying $10,000.00 for a car I don't have and I had to buy a nicer car so that I could qualify for the financing I need to cover the loss on the Xterra! I know that in the end I will come out ahead, but right now it's a little scary! I was very stressed and didn't have any control over anything I ate!
I'm starting over this week with the same goals! And, I'm determined to do it this time!
Thanks all for the wonderful support you are and good luck to each of you! I know you can do it! :flowerforyou:
(Sorry to complain, I just had to get it out so I can move on!)0 -
I SO feel your pain with the Xterra. I bought mine while the gas prices were still reasonable (well, compared to how they are now, at least!) and I absolutely LOVE it....but I just can't afford to drive it anymore. But I also can't afford to get another car for a few more years...so I"m stuck! Plus it's hard to get rid of a car you absolutely LOVE. I'm 6'3 and fit in it comfortably..whereas if I get a fuel-efficient car I'm crammed in there!:explode:
lol sorry had to vent!0 -
Monday will be a 4-point day!
(I'm going to post every day, hoping to keep myself a bit more accountable this week)
1 point for working out
1 point for burning 900 calories
2 points for keeping my calories healthy0
