Sorry everyone for my absence..been too busy glaring at MFP and working out then updating everyone on this challenge. Here are the stats..please inform me ASAP if anything needs to be fixed!

I'm sorry I haven't been as vocal either. I'm not losing weight right now, but I'm not gaining either. I am going to try to add in my physical activity and eat more fruits and vegetables. Those are my goals for March so I can burn the candle stick from both ends in a good way. I am really leary about doing too much until after I speak to the doctor on Tuesday. I just do what I can and what feels right. I still think I can get to atleast 170 by the finale if I am able to work at my full potential again soon.0

Today I weighed in at 175.2. I am so excited! I havent been this weight in atleast 15 years! So I've lost 6.6 pounds since I started this challenge. I am not sure if I am going to be able to make it to 165 before finale because I was sidelined for a few weeks with another knee injury. But I am going to do the best I can. The old me would have given up, but I know I am much better than that now.
I consider myself to be like Kaylee and my husband to be like Moses. So that is the team that I have been rooting for. I can't wait to see how great everyone looks at the finale. I'm still not quite sure when the finale is or how many days actually go by from the last taped episode to the day of the live finale.
Every year, I would see the women start out bigger than me and end up smaller than me (i.e. Heba) and it drove me crazy. So this is finally going to be the year where I am as small as some of the larger contestants. Granted it feels like it took me forever to get there, I know I will keep the weight off because I did it slowly. I have adapted to this change and its not something that was given to me at the ranch and then I have learn how to go home and eat properly and find time to workout and balance my family life.

I know how you feel! In the past, I usually feel less excited about the show later in the season because folks are passing me by (I started watching in the season where Ali won!). I'm glad we stuck with it though.. congrats on your 15-year low accomplishment!I hope you're giving your knee enough time to heal. You're definitely moving toward your goal: don't hurt yourself to save a few weeks.
Oh and I really like Courtney and relate to her personality. I like Kaylee and Moses too though, and they are kickin *kitten*! (By the way I've missed the last two episodes or so bc I haven't had full access to Web / hulu.. hoping to watch one today!)0 -
I don't really think Kaylee or Moses will when. I actually think that Courtney does have the best chance of winning. She already lost 100 pounds prior to BL so she knows how to do it at home. I can't wait until the finale to see how they look. I know a few contestants like Helen mentioned getting surgery to tighten up loose skin. I think the skin is extra loose because of how fast they lost it. Every season, I say that I'm not going to watch it because I think it exploits morbidly obese people, but every season, I get hooked on watching it again.
I am taking it easy on the knee, thanks for asking Marly. I am learning to choose my battles wisely when it comes to my workouts. I keep it light most of the week, so I can go to zumba and kickboxing in the middle of the week and then I keep it light the remainder of the week.
Well.... like the famous movie title, I guess its just "Marly & Me" :laugh:0 -
Yeah that's definitely why.. that's why it's better to lose weight around a couple pounds a week rather than like a pound a day, so your skin, etc. has time to adjust. That's a good point about Courtney - plus, with her family owning a gym, she has a lot of access to fitness resources.
