Best of luck. You may want to start off as a sub. That will get you some contacts with the principals.
  • I have my BA in English Literature too! Just a fun-fact...carry on! Lol
I do a whole lotta nothin'. I'm a stay-at-home mom, but I was contemplating the other day that for me, that's a lot different from "housewife." A housewife keeps the house clean AND takes care of the kids, but I pretty much just do the kid stuff. Working on doing better at the house stuff. When my son goes to preschool next year, I'm contemplating getting my teaching certification (I already have a BA in English literature) so I can get a job when both of the kids are in school full-time. We'll see.

Yay! :) I don't run into many English nerds. The ones I do find were smart enough to get their teaching certification so they could DO something with their degree. Actually, I had planned to go the Ph.D. route, but we got pregnant and I got derailed.

  • Thanks for the help! I love hearing about what everyone does! It truly is motivating. I work 36-38 hrs/week in a busy busy ER and keeping my weight goals gets a little difficult at times.

Right on my mom is a midwife here in the states.

I am a 19Delta Cav Scout in the US Army. We do RECON and any other detail that could come up. Been deployed 2 times for 27 months in combat. Kicked a few doors, been shot at, hand grenades thrown at me, and hit a few IEDs. It seems like with my job I would be in great shape but dont let the military thing full you.
  • When I lived in America I was a mortuary technician, embalmer.

I live in Norway now with my husband and I'm going to school to learn the language. I would like to continue my job in Norway but they don't embalm people! My future is uncertain because I'm always changing my mind. I want to work on an oil rig as a chef, as a driller, as a housekeeper. I want to teach kindergarten, I want to write a novel, I want to do the translations for subtitles at the TV station, I want to have 8 kids and get our own reality series! :P
