We need to start thinking about names for our next challenge. It will run February through first weeks of March. Maybe something with "love" or "heart" since it's going through Valentines Day. We've already used "love yourself challenge" in the past, so not that, but we can think about it.

Good Evening all. Hey I finally got off my big fat !@#$ and got the JM 30 day shred. I have done it for 2 days and am soooo sore. Especially around my pecs. OUCH!!! To be honest I am working on Level 1 and even though I can make it through this level I have to stop doing some of the arm weights at times. It is exhausting. I realize how much muscle and strength i have lost over the last year. Bummer. Does anyone know if it is on MFP's exercise stuff?
I am ready for FEB!!!!
All good ideas Kristen... I personally like I heart my body.... See everyone tomorrow... Maybe this week I will have lost some.

Wooohooo!!! GOOD morning ladies!! I am SUPER excited to see 166 this morning!!! That's another 3 pounds down and 8.5 pounds down from where I was after New Years!! I'm doing good! And still SO motivated and excited!! Last night was JM No More Trouble Zones. I LOVE that workout!! It NEVER lets me down!!
Cathy...keep your head up. It is a slow process...don't forget that. Work on making those "life changes" and you won't be disappointed. It WILL come off!!

Thank you Cathy for sharing your story on how this wonderful group started. I am so glad that I found you!
All I have to say is when it rains its pours. DH called me Friday afternoon to let me know that he had been laid off! Just when I thought that everything was turning around, it turns to crap again. I've got my umbrella out now, this is going to stop me from losing weight. I am usually a stress eater, but how can you buy junk food when you have limited funds to shop on, hehe! He has taken all weekend and the past 2 days to job hunt as well as attempt the unemployment office. I am not going to stress over it, it is in God's hands...He will provide!
On the upper note, I got up this morning and shredded! Ooh ooh ooh... it felt great and I still feel awesome! The woman that gave me a massage after I pulled a muscle in my shoulder months back, told me that I should give a day in between exercising. So I am going to Shred on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and either Sat or Sun (haven't figured that out yet). I figured if I could get at least 3 days of Shred in, it was better than none at all. My GOAL for this week is to stick to the 3 days of workout!
I like "Love Your Body". And I also love love love the idea of a new goal/challenge each week.

its on Thursday! we're going to Oxford (england!!) for a day out and some lunch. big salad i think!
went to my friends house tonight and had indian. only had a little bit of each curry and had some salad bit of rice and veg. and i said no to seconds and no to pudding! yay me!!

Ugh, I gotta bite the bullet on this one. I really did not behave myself this weekend and it shows. I'm up 2 pounds. I think I have finally managed to turn myself around though. (We'll see - going forward). I sat down and made a whole list last night of the way I feel when I watch what I eat and exercise vs. when I don't care and don't exercise. I wrote down various motivations for myself. I'm really going to get back on track! Today is the first time in quite a while that I'm inputting my meals and staying within my calories. It's tough though! I also kicked my cappacino habit after all. Haven't had one since Friday. :happy:0 -
Good evening all... I forgot to jump on the scale this morning but I will tomorrow. I just couldn't get up and was almost late for work...... which I never am. WOW Okay day 3 of shred... Man it is kicking my behind! I still can't get the arm weights in. I do them but I have to stop my arms at times.

I saw a high of 172 a week and a half ago. And have WORKED MY BUTT OFF getting back. Now my scale say 162.6, and I double checked it lol, so I am PROUD! :-D0 -

Does anybody else watch The Biggest Loser? It inspires me every time I watch it. I just might have to get up in the morning and workout! I will listen to my body as each day goes on and see if I can workout the following morning.I will though stay with my goal as to working out at least 3 days a week. I feel really good today, I am not sore at all. I started back with level one on JM 30DS, I lowered my weight level so I think that helped.And I really focused on using my stomach muscles during abs so I didn't pull anything in my back.
Yes Sandy It will get you a workout. Stick with it and your stamina will build. Because I am in better shape than I have been, I was playing Just Dance on the Wii with my neighbor, I was kicking her butt...it felt awesome!!
Congrats Julia on the Cappaccinos...awesome start! Just focus on your staying within your calories...you can do it!
Kel...what is the date of your wedding? I bet you are getting so excited!

don't know what happened oh well. i am never going to get 15 off by end of march.

Yesterday was a "snow day". Actually icy rain, but kids had off school, hubby was home by lunch, friends were over. So what did I do? I made buttery croissants. Oh yeah, and banana/chocolate empenadas. And just for extra fun, homemade cinnamon sugar pretzels with lots of butter. I did taste test all of them, but didn't go TOO overboard. But it was definitely a carb out day. Did get to do Zumba, but didn't get to exercise as long as I wanted as I went with my best friend and she re-injured her knee. So today, as soon as work is over, I'm hitting the gym for a 30 minute run and aerobic class. All doughy goodness were packed away last night. Hopefully, out of sight, out of mind.

veins were not behaving yesterday morning for blood draw. so have to go back today. drank so much water last night and already have drank 2 glasses this morning. should be able to get another one down before i leave. i am hungry. i can't eat. so i will stop by somewhere when done and get something. or i could pack me something better yet. i have errands to run while i am out. and it's Wednesday, military day at goodwill. i will pass a few of those. need to check to see what they got. i stopped buying clothes.
well off to shower and get myself ready for the day. in my 3-4 funk that comes around every few months.

AFM...I had another great night! I did my JM Yoga Meltdown. I think my weekly plan will be as follows:
M-JM No more trouble zones (55 min)
T-JM Yoga Meltdown (35 min)
W-JM No more trouble zones (55 min)
Th-Jackie 15 min Abs, Upper, Lower or Total body
F-JM Yoga Meltdown (35 min)
S-JM No more trouble zones (55 min)
S-Jackie Extreme time saver total body workout (30 min)
This of course could change when we have plans, but it sounds pretty good to me. And if I ever want to switch things up, I always have my shred workouts!!

B-Simply Cinnamon Corn flakes, skim milk, coffee w/sugarfree creamer

Well, 2+ pounds down but still 1pound more than the start of the challenge. I will get back down no problem...too bad I put on 5 pounds or I would be near one-derland.0 -
Oops fell off the wagon again over the weekend. I just don't have any willpower when it comes to football. Of course I drank way too much and then there are all the munchies. So needless to say it is taking me a few days to pull my head out of my *** and get back with it. I did how ever spend Monday on the golf course and walked three miles yesterday. Today is all about my walking dvds and some circuit training. So far today I have burned over 700 calories. I am going to try to be good this weekend (cough cough). I will be rooting for the steelers. Come Superbowl Sunday I will be all about the AFC team no matter who is playing.
Julia Thank you for the compliment about my dog. She is a she and is a Wolf / Akita mix. She is the love of my life. And is 12 years old. We spend almost every waking moment together as she gets to go to work with me. Her name is Whiskey woo.
Kristin I haven't worked out with the jullian yoga since the first night I got it. I think I am going to work with the shred again until my ankle gets a little more healed. I found that it was a little tough on it. But I have plenty of other Dvds to play with. Have you heard of Melt it off with Mitch Gaylord. He uses a medicine ball with his workout. I really like it.
