    WOW tax refund.

There are a few things on my list....

    * Buy some more furniture for our new house
    * Take my honey to Ecuador for graduation since he's never seem where I was born
    * Get my physical training and nutrition certification so I can help more and more people improve their lives :)
  • yeah I'll just wait til we actually get one. Last year we were supposed to get it in 8 wks, took them 4 months. Year before that, same thing.

IRS already said not to bother trying to file til mid Feb, and that even then your refunds will be delayed due to "paperwork and system issues", in other words "Everyone got smart, overpaid and is owed refunds and WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY, so we're going to wait as long as possible to give your money back to you."

So if it comes, when it comes, likely savings and replacing the main computer tower.

I thought that was just me last year! I filed like the last week on Jan/first week of Feb and didn't get my refund until JUNE!!! I was so mad...it had never taken that long and everyone I knew had theirs WAY before me.

This year we will be using ours for central air! Last summer was humid and miserable in my house. I had to take the kids and spend the night with my parents a few times! Getting a couple smaller things and saving the rest for a car down payment as my lease with be ending in July. Never leasing again! :)

We are going to have our carpets deep cleaned (since our new baby will be crawling soon), pay off our furniture, trip to Georgia in July, and the rest will catch up with bills or be put in savings.

Mines going to pay off debt and doctor bills. One can only hope that it can stretch that far. We usually get a lot back, but this past year I switched jobs and cashed out my 401K and Pension plan from my previous employer, so I think that's going to hurt us...

No refund for me. I'm not into giving the government an interest free loan of MY money. They already take enough of it.

I never get a refund, I usually end up writing them a check at the last minute, twice I have gotten lucky and broke even.

My wish would be that the IRS wasn't taking it for the 2nd year in a row for back taxes :(

I think I'm getting about $22 back... oh what will I do with this money!

I'm not trying to be a ****... and prefacing this statement by saying that means that I will inevitably be a ****, so I apologize in advance. But getting such a large refund (unless this is a one time mistake of sorts due to a new financial situation), is not wise. You're essentially giving the government an interest free loan in the amount of $22,000. You'd be much better off OWING the IRS a bit at the end of the year and investing that money upfront.

Just some unsolicited advice, that is ya know... never welcome, but I couldn't stop myself *LOL*

I won't be getting a refund because I actually know how to manage my finances and calculate the proper withholding amount.

Why would anyone in their right mind give the government a free loan for most of the year. While the rest of you wait for your refunds, I will be enjoying the fruits of my labor and earning a little interest on the side.

No refund here. We always end up owing.
Yep. We have our withholdings set at the lowest amount, without penalty.

I'm sober. It's not my fault.
  • I wish that I had it before the new year, so that I could afford to hire an escort for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Looks like I'll be spending them alone again.

Why haven't you asked me yet? Is it because I stalk you?? I can lay off that for a week if it'd help.

I want... my credit card debt to be decreased by the exact amount of my tax refund. Not fun, but there's 6K of it and it needs to go away.
