    Okay, as far as the next challenge goes...it sounded like the vote was for "Sixers LOVE Your Body Challenge"! So...I'll start that one next week! And we are thinking of adding some mini challenges each week. Let's see...here's an idea...

    We can set the challenges up ahead of time...like...
    Week 1: Drink 64 oz. water daily
    Week 2: Stay within 200 cal of your daily recommended total
    Week 3: Get in at least 15 minutes of exercise daily
    Week 4: Record every thing in your food/exercise diary
    Week 5:
    Week 6:
    What are some other ideas for mini weekly challenges? I think this is a great way to motivate!

    Good morning and happy Monday!

    Had a weekend filled with long car rides and bad food choices but made it to the gym both Saturday and Sunday and was way under in my calories instead of over. Just wish the food quality was better.

    Not sure what I will see on the scale tomorrow!

    I like all the mini challenges they sound great!!! I know I need to spend a little more time posting. I do great keeping my food and exercise diaries. I do need to check in more often.

    WOW...I just realized that the next challenge will go through my vacation to Texas! AH! That means I will have to work SUPER hard to lose over my vacation! I CAN DO IT!!!! So...I am already preparing myself!! :)

    Hello everyone!!! I'm so pumped today!! Packers are going to the SUPERBOWL!!! (In case you didn't know!) :happy: Kel - It looks like we both got our way since the Steelers are going too! I really don't think there was ever a doubt about it - Pittsburg has a really good team. Hopefully Green Bay has a better one... just sayin. :tongue:

    Actually I did pretty well this weekend too. I hardly ate during the football game because I was a nervous wreck haha, and got some dancing in Saturday night at my cousins birthday party (where I didn't drink...) One good thing about being DD is that I don't have to worry about consuming empty calories.

    Kristin - What are you doing in Texas? I also saw you were reading Breaking Dawn. That series is one of my favorites! I'm actually reading it again for the 3rd time and am also on Breaking Dawn. I need to read something before bed to calm down, so I like to read books I've already read. That way I don't keep reading and reading and READING when I should be sleeping.

    Cathy - Yum the brownies sounded good. If Shanell doesn't want hers, I will have it! :tongue: I like your idea of posting to the thread as one of the challenges. That will keep it very interesting.

    As for everyone else - Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend, and a really good start to the week.

    Hey PS - Since I took a few weeks of "vacation" there over the holidays, I've noticed some people are missing. Anyone know where they went? (Like Lauren - Lhuffman and Lauryn - Phoenix_something)? I miss them!

    GOOD LUCK TIFF!!!

    I am so tired and feeling so bloated and icky. I am sure it was my weekend choices for food. Even though I made it to the gym and stayed way under calories, I feel like crap. I am forcing myself to go to the gym tonight after I get the kiddos settled in. Need to decide what day of the week I want to take off. Maybe it should be Mondays but then again....thats the last chance workout before Tuesday weigh in. I just dont know?!

    K- Vacation sounds wonderful...no matter where it is. I am sure you will do great. Does it involve sight seeing? Lots of walking?

    amy_36 - Sorry you are feeling so lucky. But if misery loves company, then I'm right there with you on the bad food choices and feeling it. But getting my butt back in gear with you :)

    Still not moving... But I am doing my 30 day shred. I did it 3 or 4 days..(I forget) and took 2 days off. Did JM's shred on sunday and monday. My body just needed the break. I might do my yoga tonite and tomorrow is my BF's birthday so we are going to dinner. I am meeting his parents.

    I love all the ideas for mini challenges! Congrats to all the losers! I am up and down all week. Friday I was down 1.3 lbs, I know I didn't drink enough water yesterday. I try to bring water because I will not drink out of a fountain where the water is ornangish. YUK Well off to work.... can't wait till later to see how awesome everyone did!

    Good morning!!

    YAY!!! I must say that my hard work is paying off!! I have lost 11 pounds since New Years!!!!! AND I have surpassed my goal for this challenge! I am SO SUPER excited!!!! That you motivation!!

    Julia--I am going to Alamo, TX, all the way down by Mexico. My husbands grandparents winter there and we try and go visit every other year. This year will be the first time there for Kadence (except when she was in my belly 2 years ago) and my sister is also tagging along! Should be lots of fun! There usually is some walking but mostly relaxing, so probably not too much exercise that week. But it will be okay. I will just have to be careful about what I eat. My husband does a lot of fishing with his grandpa, and I enjoy the pool. We also go over to South Padre a couple times and play on the beach. Will probably take Kadence to the zoo there and do some shopping! I can't wait!! It's SO needed! And I LOVE the Twilight series!! It will probably be one I read over and over too!

    Sandy--good job on the shredding! It is a tough workout! You will see results for sure! I can totally tell my body is getting stronger and leaner while working with JM workouts!

    Cathy--YAY for the minus!! Good job!!

    Amez--Wooohooo for goal reaching!!!! You did awesome!!!

    Oooh noooo last week!!! I am currently the same as last week so am not going to weigh in this week until Friday. Need to get those last 2lbs off and then I have hit my target. Oh the pressure!!!!!

    I like the idea of mini challenges! Posting on the thread more often would be a good one, as I shamefully do only post once a week to log my weight. (I also need to actually PICK a weigh in day because I keep chopping and changing and its not working for me!!) other suggestions could be adding 10 minutes to your usual workout. Or having 30 minutes a day to yourself to relax, read a book, have a bath. In the same vein as love your body I think we should be talking about our mental health too! Relax time! xx

    Before I do my weigh in for the week I want to say I YUCK YUCK YUCK. And I am extremely ready for the next challenge. I am very excited about the mini goals and I think they are all awesome! I can't wait to give myself a weekly challenge and I think it will help!

    I am ready for DH to find a job, he is really starting to annoy me. I want to be able to walk around our house and have an opinion. I feel like I can't, because if I do it will crush what little ego he has right now and get all pissy and then I get pissy. So I have been trying to keep things that bother me to myself. ERR!! And then he stays up late because he got a lot on his mind, watches tv in the living room, falls asleep out there, and that means I can workout in the morning.....he needs to find a job...in a hurry!!

    Guess what else??? It's TOM!!!

    So everyone please excuse my 1 lb weight gain, next challenge will be awesome and so worth it...I think for everyone!!

    Hi All,

    It has been just over a year since the last time I was on MFP and part of this group but I am back and ready to try again. I was doing extremely well before and then things went to hell in a chocolate covered handbasket...lol. Anyway, I gained back everything plus another ten pounds.

    I have decided to try a couple of different things this time and see if it helps. Last time I was documenting all my food and coulnting the calories, carbs, fibre etc and I lost weight quickly but I think I began obesessing too much which killed it for me. This time I am not documenting, I am just going to eat better and lose the weight slower.

    As much as being there and active for my kids is part of the inspiration I need an additional goal that will be rewarding to me and is a measurable goal which is key for me. Being active for my kids and there for them is tangible to a degree but it isn't easily a measurable goal. So, my additional goal is that for every pound I lose I am putting $5 into an account and when I reach my goal weight I am going to use the money to go on an adventure trip somewhere tropical where I can go hiking, see historical landmarks, go rappelling, ziplining and lots more. I love to travel and rarely get a chance to, so this time I am going to kill two birds with one stone.

    Anyway, I am glad to be back and look forward to reading your posts and catching up with you all. I will start posting my weight when the next challenge starts.

    lauren....i have been in your shoes more than once i am afraid. it can be just as hard on us as them. men are the bread winners. they feel like they failed when they can't provide. to them they think other men think of them as low lifes. that's why he's cranky and doesn't sleep. it took me a long time to realize this, and a book our paster suggested. the reason men want sex so often is that is how they feel closer to their mate. as we would be happy with just the cuddling. DH totally agreed with all this. he read one on us women and he now understands how our minds work. at first he would say "close a file and work on just that" as we women have many files open in our minds. men have just one the one they are working on. i had to tell him to shut up i know how i operate. very interesting stuff.

    well, need to get some stuff done around here.

    Hey all!

    Will weigh in tomorrow morning. My babygirl is sick today and stayed home with me. We have been snuggled up in the bed all day- her sleeping and watching movies and I have been studying!

    Very excited about the new challenge, havent met my goal I know this challenge- so the next one will be better! Mini challenge idea: help encourage someone(can be a different person each day or the same) to make healthy choices/help encourage/motivate them to LOVE their body.

    Congrats to all who have been losing or/and met their goals- you guys are doing great!!

    Katy...sorry your little one is sick. Kadence has been sick also for the past couple days. She is all snotty and having problems breathing through her nose which is making sleep pretty much nonexistent in our house. But I'm sure she'll recover soon, and it's really the first time she's been sick this winter, so I can't complain too much. Plus, she's such a trooper that I don't have to deal with much, just trouble sleeping at night. ANYways...hope your little one recovers quick!

    Well...headed to the dentist for a cleaning! Have a great afternoon and I'll check back tomorrow!
