  • week 6 day 2 cardio X complete!! i am looking forward to tomorrow!! I love the tricep shoulders and back work out! Last week I could feel it really burn!

I have to share this...I took my pictures for day 30 and I didn't think I would be able to see a difference from day 1, but guess what!!! I can! I can see alot of the flab gone from my back and stomach and my arms are looking a little toned up! I am excited to see what day 60 looks like!
  • Hi everyone! Forgot to log in yesterday but i did W5D1, it was such a burn and for once in the program i managed to do ARX right after my workout!! Yay!! Today is W5D2, short on time so i did insanity pure cardio instead of plyo.... Hope everyone is doing great!

I may sound like a broken record but I've heard and researched a lot and keep getting conflicting information about what daily calories should be set at.

I didn't loose anything this week. After the advice of some on the message boards, I upped my calories from 1300 to 1700.
I know my HRM is high because of the medicine I take but I can't seem to find out ow to adjust calories burned.
My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are occupational therapists. My BIL actually has his phd. He said 1700 sounded way too high for anyone interested in weight loss. On the message boards several said it should be at 1800.
I am so frustrated and confused! I'm disciplined with my P90-X workouts and am doing well with the kinds of food I eat I think I just need to cut back on sodium, sugar, and figure what to set my base daily calories at. But I have no clue what to do. A little advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've been eating 1800 calories a day and i have been losing. Then again i did have some no weightloss weeks. But i never had a gain that wasn't my fault. You have to understand that if you are doing this program consistantly, you are burning alot of calories and you can afford that calorie budget. If you aren't, than i do agree with your family that you are eating too many calories.
  • Chest, Shoulders & Triceps/ARX done! I love the burny burn burn!!! My chest and arms are going to be so dead tomorrow, I can just tell
  • Chest, Shoulders & Triceps & ARX done and Yoga! I am really going to be sore in the morning!!! I also ran my first mile this afternoon since last fall!!! I was running at least 3 miles and then it got cold! I am trying to get a head start on this spring! Think I might do kenpo tommorrow and wait for the legs and back till friday! Hope everyone else is doing great!

    Hi Everyone,

Remember we have our weekly voluntary weigh in tomarrow. We did have a couple of people drop out of the challenge this week because life intervened and wish them all success in all of there endevors. My first time i did P90x, i didn't make it past a week. Something really has to click in your brain before you go through it fully so i understand the challenges everyone is facing. i cant wait to hear everyones updates. I will probably make the chart sunday night because i have a really weird work schedule this weekend and that will probably be the only time i will be able to do it until weds. Have a great weekend everyone and always remember to BRING IT.

That's sad to hear, I hope they're able to find what will work and motivate them! :)

    W6D5 complete!

    -Legs & Back w/ARX-

Those wall squats are a killer, but I am definitely feeling the muscles changing in my legs! Looking forward to the 60 day mark to see where I'm at. Nervous about the weigh-in tomorrow. Last weigh-in was the 1st time I'd seen a drop in the scale in almost 3 months.....too long for a stinkin' plateau!! Good luck to everyone!

W6D6 down, did plyometrics this pm. I also did Insanity plyometrics this week, with mixed results. I wish I could do the Level 1 and 2 exercises better. Those are brutal. Otherwise, looking forward to the weigh-in tomorrow morning. I can hardly believe I have done exercises for 36 days.

    Board..........................Board.....................Don't get bored!
  • Legs & Back/ARX done! It's an awesome workout, even though I still hate it... sooooo boring!! Doing basically lunges nonstop for an hour is not my idea of fun. Give me any other workout any day!!

Good luck to everyone on weigh-in day tomorrow!

I just want to say I stopped doing P90X after the first phase. So this is my official drop-out notice, Not that I've stopped working out completely, no way...I've got a goal to reach! I guess I should explain.

I basically had to make a decision with time that I have doing P90X and going to the gym was tough. Kinda too much. Even if I was doing one in the morning and one at night. I also have a roommate who joined the gym with me so I have someone constantly pushing me to head to the gym (not that that's a bad thing!) So I had to make the decision to cut down something so P90X took the back burner. I've found a great new love in the variety of classes my gym offers, plus all the machines. So I am definitely bringing it in my workouts.

Lastly I want to say to all the wonderful people on this p90x journey I definitely plan to keep up with your efforts and see the results you gain from the experience. Maybe one day I will complete the P90X program, but for now I'm just working out at my own pace.

Good Luck to all! It was great to have support and motivation while I was in the challenge! :flowerforyou:

    Week 6 officially completed!

-Kenpo X- (took my rest day yesterday as I was laid up in bed ALL day!)

    On to week 7....yay!! :)

epeebes....sorry to hear you left the program, but I completely understand. It's all about finding what works for YOU and what will motivate YOU to keep pushing. I think it's great you've found that in your gym. I'm sure you will see great results! Good luck with your journey!
  • W7D1 done! This core stuff is getting easier...not easy, but easier!

I haven't checked in here much, I completed W6D3, D4, D5, and D6. 2 were boot camp workouts, 2 were walking workouts and 2 were P90X workouts. I've enjoyed this week and I'll be ready to start up a full week of P90X workouts beginning tomorrow! :) I didn't weigh this weekend, the scale and I are currently not getting along...I did take pictures and I can see a difference. Now I've got to get myself to do ARX this phase and hit all 6 workouts every week. I think I'm going to switch up my yoga and Kenpo days, but I don't know yet...I guess I'll figure it out as I go along. I hope everyone else is doing well!

    You're getting stronger!!
  • Still here. A little behind. Halfway done with week six. Extra days off due to running and wrestling workouts with high school team I help coach.

I almost forgot about my NSV I'd like to share. I shared on my thread w/my friends but in case there is someone doing the challenge that isn't my friend and I missed I'd like to share now.

I officially did 4 1 arm pushups from my knees!!!! Most of the time I just fall flat on my face but I keep trying... so yesterday I set my mind that I was going to do 2 no matter what it takes... and I did 4!!! I can't believe it!!!

Anyway I was REALLY excited and wanted to share!!!!

Haven't checked in in a while... I had another Ski Trip in Colorado and my ribs decided they wanted to not so gracefully meet a tree. I'm definitely going to have to take this week off as it hurts to even take a deep breath.

For those of you that ski out there, please make sure if you're going to stop on the mountain that you don't do it immediately after a sharp turn and don't just stand directly in the middle of a run. NOT COOL LADY IN THE RED SWEATER! I'm just going to cycle every day.

    KEEP BRINGING IT!

    Lol....bad red sweater lady....
Rough trip...hope you get to feeling better soon!!

I forgot to mention my weigh-in results....................

    Nada. Same. No change. Again.

It's unreal to me the butt kicking I do to myself during my workouts, the great changes in the foods I eat, cutting out wine, and all the water I drink, yet to no avail.

I've been very dedicated & doing everything right since I joined in August, then by November the weight loss just stopped & the scale has been playing with the same 3lbs since!! Makes absolutely no sense and it's infuriating as hell. Sticking with it & hoping for the end of this 3 MONTH plateau!!

On a brighter note.........I am *feeling* the changes in my body. I can tell I'm getting stronger and I can see/touch areas of my body that are definitely changing & toning. I do love that! :)

    Hey All
My official drop notice. So sorry but with the job at the gym and working out there while I work is just too much with P90X. I hope one day to pick it back up and make it further than half way.

Thanks for the memories and good luck on your journey. :)
