I work from home for a company called West at Home. They contract with several companies for customer service projects. It's a 'meh' phone job, but I get to create my own schedule so that's very, very nice.

I was a public school teacher when I was fresh out of college and hated it! Needless to say, I left the profession and bounced around in a few industries since then, most of my time spent between an investment firm and a couple different insurance agencies.

My future plans are to become a licensed stenographer, which will take between 1-2 yrs to complete. I'm trying to decide if I'd like to be an independent contractor or work for the state. There are pros and cons on both sides.

Now you know my entire career story. I hope you've enjoyed it, lol.
  • Full time mom & homeschool parent to 3, plus I'm a full time student myself. I also do quite a bit of volunteer work to keep myself out of trouble in my spare time ;-)
